I have a thin horizontal line on my Toshiba CF3062A standard TV. The sound is fine and the picture is fine but it is compressed into a thin line.
This is a problem with the vertical circuit that is usually a defective vertical IC. This part costs $10-$20 and is easily replaced. Sometimes there are capacitors in the same circuit that need to be replaced as well. Dan
I don't have the service manual for your model/ The vertical IC is usually a small flat IC with about 9-11 pins and may be marked LA7837 or TAxxxx or something similar. If you post the marking on what you think is the correct one, I can verify it for you. The IC is likely to be attached to a small heatsink as well.
