On the bottom panel of the DX7590 are the metal tripod mount (kudos for the use of metal here), dock jack, and battery compartment. The threaded tripod mount is a little off-center and too close to the battery compartment for quick battery changes while working with a tripod. The battery compartment features a locking, hinged door, which slides to the side to open under spring pressure.

The DX7590 works with MMC and SD cards, which max out at 2GB. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

The 4GB card is actually an SDHC card. While SDHC cards will fit into SD slots, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use SD cards 2GB and smaller with the DX7590.

Get an SD card.

The DX7590 works with SD (and MMC) cards. Your 8GB card is actually an SDHC card and thus will not work. You'll have to stay with cards 2GB and smaller.

Jeff, you didn't verify the type of battery that you have on your camera, is that the KLIC-5000? if yes then still it will not charged on your dock try to charged your camera using the 5V AC adapter. If your camera will not turn on using the 5V AC adapter or will not turn on using your dock it means the camera is defective and not your battery or charger. You can still contact Kodak repair center at 1 800 665 6515 they will handle your issue.

Yes is should work you can used atmost 2GB SD card, but do not use more than 2GB SD card

Hello, I repair this type of Kodak camera and there is not an easy solution to your problem. It is the down fall of this series as they age. You will be better off to replace the camera than the cost of the repair.
