dear friend you have a power supply problem, get one of those cheap meters and open the set, look for a blown fuse, if they are ok wich i doubt, you have to call the repairman.
If both the remote and the front panel buttons do not work, I would be thinking that it is a problem with the TV's main uPC area. This type of fault can be involved, and would require factory level service where the fault can be properly analysed.
I can tell you in advance, that this type of fault can be expensive to service.

you sound like you might be having front button problems. if you take the front speaker grill off then unplug connector ZF and it restores normal operation than the front panel buttons are bad. basically the tv will respond first to the buttons and nothing else until the button is depressed.
