How to change routers password on my i pad

on your computer, in a web browser type in 192.168.1.1 to access the router's control panel.
You will need to enter admin in the user id and admin in the password, assuming it is in the default state.
go to wireless and ensure it is active, then go to wireless security and note the password key, or type in your own. then save the changes. You should be able to go to your iPad and in settings / wifi select the router then key in the wireless password key you entered above. NOTE: if this does not work, on the iPad, select the i beside the network name and the "forget this network" - then go back and try connecting again.

First be sure you are connecting to your network. If you don'k know your wifi password, you need to find your paperwork for the router or look up the default password. Find and press the reset button and hold for 30 seconds. This will reset the router to default settings including default password.

I think you can go to the router IP address on your browser. Google the router brand and find the address. From there you can change the password. This is step-by-step for Linksys.

To see the most information and be able to change it you need to follow these steps. 1. Open command pad (click start and search bar type cmd) 2. In the Command pad type ipconfig/all 3. Look for default gateway and remember that number. Will look something like (192.168.1.1) 4. Open a webpage and type that number into the address bar and hit enter. 5. It should ask you for username/password default uername is admin and password is 1234. 6. after that you should be in your route and navigate around it til your find what your looking for. go to the command pad and type ipconfig . Look for your default gateway. will look like ***.***.***.*** with numbers and there might not even be that many numbers. open a webpage and type that nuber into the url bar hit enter. A login box will pop up the default username is admin and the password is password. once that is done you are in the router manager. on the left of your screen you should see maintenance and a little further down you will see set password click it and there you go. if you want to change to password for your internet connection you have to go into the router manager and click on wireless settings,

by default, Belkin comes without a default password, so just click on submit if you are trying to log in to router's GUI page,.(later you can change the password by clicking on system settings and type in the new password you like to use, also you need to leave the current password column blank)

If the password is still the default one which the router came with then look on the actual router for it, it may be on the bottom.

You can find all these information on your computer. Press Windows key + r (Win+r) you will get the run bar. Now type "cmd" and hit enter. You will get a black screen. In the black screen type "ipconfig /all" and hit enter. You will get all the details. Now while entering in your I pad you have to change only the IP add. For example..on your computer you have..
IP add: 192.168.2.4 Sub Net: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.2.1 DNS. 4.2.2.2 4.2.2.3
In your I pad you will have to enter like this.. IP add: 192.168.2.15 Sub Net: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.2.1 DNS. 4.2.2.2 4.2.2.3
So change the last number of IP address. Let it be anything above 15 and below 254.

you will need to go to a station that IS connected to the router (preferable wired) and open a browser to HTTP://192.168.1.1
admin should be both the username password.
go into your wireless security setup, and look up or change your WEP key.
Use this WEP key in your I-Pad, and VOILA, you're connected.

check you password in a word pad before typing it in to see if you have caps lock on /type WEP password in word pad then copy and paste in to field and see if you can log on
