Are you sure it's the receiver infra red and not the remote simple check is to operate your remote and hold it in front of a phone camera if working you will see light flash.

A TV nor turning on is most likely caused by a faulty power supply or main board. Are you intending to fix the set yourself?

TRy to ask the dealer or the Manufacturer.

• Bad capacitors around the horizontal output transistor

I just fixed one JV-TV2040 monitor that worked intermittently. Turns out the AC power adapter was bad. The wire was cracked inside the strain relief where it goes into the adapter. You can either replace the adapter with a suitable replacement or do like I did and carefully hacksaw the case open, chop out about 4 inches of bad cable, and resolder to the circuit board. I glued the repaired unit back together with silicone glue.

Unplug it for about an hour to let it reset itself, if it still does not work, you will have to opne it up do visual inspection and voltage checking, start with the power supply module, make sure it has te standby 5vdc for the porcessot to run.

Try leaving it off and unplugged for a while then hold power button while pluging back in to reset. Most brands of tv's flash to display trouble code.

I am sure there is one to download. If google is no help, just ask some deep web specialists, e.g. http://manualfox.com - this is a manual search agency and if they don´t find it, it does not exist in the Internet.

This sounds like micro glitch try unpluging the tv and all controlable inputs (PC, iLinks, or other such devices) wait 5 min then plug the tv only in and see if you have returned functions. if you should read the manuals of those devices to see if the control functions can be turned off.
