Bad track

That means that somewhere in your music collection is a song with bad formatted ID3 tags. You can download an ID3 tag tool like MusicBrainz Picard to go through your songs and determine which tracks might be bad.

Bad track

I had this problem and called sandisk tech support. They had me reformat the player from windows. Then unplug and restart it. After that it worked like new. Of course i had to reload all of my tunes after the reboot.

Sandisk e250

are you using the drag and drop mode... if so you may want to check the tags on the files and make sure that you have the correct track numbers for each track. That seemed to fix the problem.
