Make sure all of your readers are working properly by checking in the device manager.

On XP - Right click on "My Computer" and then click "Manage"

On Vista or Win7 - Click Start and in the field for searches type in "Device Manager"

Make sure you have no devices with a caution sign beside them it will look kinda like this in yellow /!\

If you do then you will need to troubleshoot the drive.

Reinstall the driver if you encounter this problem.

If there are none then....

Try and make sure your MicroSD card is correctly inserted into the adapter. Take it out and put it in a few times. Watch My Computer for it to pop up after you adjust the placement of the card.

Cheers!

Sigma 4in1 card reader not working

Try a different / all other USB ports on the computer, and if possible, a different computer if no USB port on your computer works with it. If it still doesn't see the drive, the drive is probably not working. If it does see the device, but is asking for drivers, provide a disk with drivers that came with the reader - or check the Sigma web site for drivers that work with you OS (Windows, Mac, etc.), download and install / extract.

If it sees the device, but doesn't see the memory card, the reader may not recognize the newer, larger capacity memory cards. SD cards are smaller than 4GB in capacity, and SDHC cards are 4GB and larger. Make sure that if you're trying to read an SDHC card that the reader SPECIFICALLY says it works with SDHC cards. Most SD readers can NOT be upgraded with firmware to be able to read SDHC cards - a new SDHC reader is required.

Good luck!

The sd card is too small. It doesn't fit into my computer, it came with a little yellow thing to attach to it but it doesn't work on my computer. Help.

Hello akamacho,

It is possible that you have a "MicroSD card". Most card readers can not read micro sd cards because it is too small, so you will need an "adapter" to be the same size as a normal SD card and then you can use it on card readers. I am just assuming (because I can not see it) that the yellow thing you have is the adapter. Make sure the micro SD card is inserted into the adapter properly and make sure that your adapter is inserted properly into your card reader.

If it is still not working, tell me the brand and model of your computer or you card reader. Also indicate any markings you can read from your sd card and the little yellow thing.

You can rate my answer if you appreciate it.
Thanks!

How do I upload pictures from my Samsung Strive onto my Gateway laptop comuter.

1. Purchase a micro-SD card with an adapter for a normal-sized SD card.2. Plug in the micro-SD card to the back of the phone. Make sure the power is off when you do this, of you could unintentionally harm your phone.3. Power back on, and transfer the pictures to the micro-SD card.4. Shut the phone back off and remove the card again. Place it into the adapter.
If your Gateway laptop has a SD card reader:
5. Put the adapter into there.6. Transfer the pictures to you computer. Done!
If your laptop doesn't have a SD card reader:
5. You'll need to purchase a second adapter that adapts the regular-sized SD card to a USB port.6. Following the manufacturer's instructions, put the SD card into the second adapter.7. Transfer the pictures to your computer. Done!

Best of luck, Juseppi

It says reading card when i put the sd card in but never does anything else

It sounds as if the card may be corrupt, so you could try formatting it on PC:-

Put the SD card into the slot on PC, or into an attached card reader. Go to the 'My Computer' screen, and right click on the SD card's icon to bring up the format options. Click on 'format' and follow the instructions. Before taking the card out, click on 'safely remove..'

If the camera can then read the SD card, format the card again in the camera and it should be read ok. Hope this works!

Sd card not being read

Could you please tell me what type of computer you are using? The problems that I could think might be your issue would be that your computer is not compatible with the sd card that you put in or the computer is not set to recognize digital sd cards.

Kingston 4gb sd card won't read

I had a problem with lenovo's reader like this, because i put in the nokia 6600 card, correct format and all, but apparently too old and not yet ment to be read by a computer ...

sd could still be hc ... the system of names is still not set up right. if you got a small black attachment for the card that makes it longer, put it on and try inserting the card again.

check if all the drivers are like they should be.

if you've got a friend with a card reader, make sure the card is ok. and if you've got a friend with a card, make sure the reader is like it's supposed to be

post a feedback, ok

Micro sd card

To read from a Micro SD card you will need a card reader that can read MicroSD cards. If your computer doesn't have one, you can go to Office Depot and buy one. They should have a few different models. If you have the adapters for your MicroSD card to convert it to a regular SD card, they have an $8 reader on sale right now. If not, they have a $35 card reader that will read almost every memory card format.

Otherwise, you'll have to go through your digital camera's software to read it.
