Based upon your brief description, it sounds like the internal speaker itself has worn out (likely cause) or possibly the internal speaker wire(s) may become disconnected or may be shorting out.

LeapFrog has discontinued product support of our "Learn & Groove" Musical Table with green legs that was made in 2010. LeapFrog Customer Service declined to discuss replacement parts, so I searched eBay for an exact speaker replacement.

BTW, I am not affiliated in any way with the eBay seller nor do I work for LeapFrog... I'm a Computer Engineer/Geek in Cincinnati, Oh trying to solve a simple toy problem. All opinions expressed are solely my own and do NOT represent any technical guidance from the original equipment manufacturer. I am only trying to fix my Granddaughter's toy that abruptly stopped working!

Correct replacement speakers are available on eBay and ship from Hong Kong... I just bought qty2 of these speakers for $5.69 total inc s/h/p (only 1 was needed). Delivery time was slow, but well worth the wait...

When the replacement speakers arrived, I had to take off the back panel screws and unsolder the original speaker, so I could resolder in the single replacement speaker under the 2" black cover. The "Learn & Groove" Musical Table speaker now works great!

Some forum posts say that resoldering a computer modem speaker (16ohm .25w) could be used, but this is a temporary solution at best. The replacement speaker from Hong Kong produces a better quality sound and more sound volume when used with the "Learn & Groove" Musical Table.

The speaker replacement specs for the LeapFrog "Learn & Groove" Musical Table with Green Legs are as follows:

"Round Aluminum Shell Magnetic Type Slim Speaker Horn"
.25 watt
Resistance 16 Ohm
Type Internal Magnetic, Slim
Shape Round
Bottom Diameter 20mm/ 0.8"
Outer Diameter 35mm/ 1.4"
Height 9mm/ 0.35"
Material Aluminum, Metal, Plastic

This replacement speaker worked great for me and now my Granddaughter can again enjoy her toy that I was able to fix!

Are sand and water tables considered activity tables?

An activity table is a table that have activities incorporated into them, so a table that kids would play at with water or sand would be considered an activity table.

How much do Fisher Price activity tables cost?

I've seen Fisher price activity tables on amazon for between $40 and $60.

But you don't have to only buy fisher price - there are some other good makes that are more competitively priced.

42PFL5332D/37 does not turn on red light flashes 6 times.

Don't have a "solution" yet, but found this table that decodes the blinks:

Error Code Table

0 = No error
1 = X-ray protection, E/W protection, and/or Vertical protection active
2 = High beam current protection active
3 = Reserved
4 = +5V protection active
5 = Signal Processor (IC 7150) register corrupted
6 = Signal Processor (IC 7150) error
7 = Total failure
8 = Internal RAM error (Microprocessor IC 7000)
10 = NV memory (IC7088) addressing error
11 = NV memory (IC7088) size error
12 = Histogram (YUV) (IC 7770) error
14 = Sound processor I²C error (TDA9855)
16 = Main Tuner I²C error (IC 1125)
17 = PIP Processor I²C error (IC 7350)
18 = PIP Tuner I²C error (IC 1127)

I, too, have the 6 blinks of a red light. I found another person online that suggested that perhaps the power cord was "defective" as it's a common issue. I replaced the power cord with one from an old computer (they're the same cord) and it seems to be OK now. That's all I can offer you at this time.

On our rpe system there are some tables that will not closeout and are showing active for several days the same item(s) ring up at different prices

Sounds like two different problems. The tables not closing out are probably one of two things. The invoice got put on hold or the cashier trying to close the table didn't open the table or doesn't have correct permissions to close table. Worse case scenario is a corrupt entry in database.

Different prices on same item could be someone playing with the special pricing on the item or if you have time based menus setup, they are actually pointing to different items that display the same.

I program rpe menus remotely and could give you a hand. Contact me at [email protected] or call 814-226-9612.
