I have a 2610 HP Photosmart All-In-One, & all lights flash & screen says error: Oxc0620004 411:lib_micci2.c. There is no paper jamb, but I cannot move carriage or remove ink cartridges. Please help!
Thanks for the suggestion, but I'd already tried resetting it & can't get the ink cartridges to come out. It's like the carriage didn't go back to the proper position after the last document I printed, & now I can't do a thing. I think if I could figure out how to get the carriage to move, I could probably then get the cartridges out & get it working again, but this is where I'm stuck. Any other ideas? Thanks for the suggestion, but I'd already tried resetting it & can't get the ink cartridges to come out. You need to check the encoder strip, the clear plastic behind the carriage, ink or grease will stop it from reading and give that error. Also ink buildup on the clean station will slow it's travel.
0x error codes indicate that the product has an internal error. Try to reset the printer:
1. Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product. 2. Remove the cartridges from the product. 3. Wait for the 'Insert Cartridges
' message to display on the control panel. 4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product. 5. Wait 60 seconds. 6. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button 7. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product 8. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so. 9. Reconnect the USB cable to the rear of the product, and then try printing again.
open the rear access door and clean the rollers with a cloth, dam it with little water and unplug the machine and press and hold the ON button for 1 min and release the button and plug in the power cord, it should resolve the issue.
I contacted www.hp.com and after a while we decided it is fried.
Lightening had hit my cable box and must have got the printer too. All it will do is flash even after trying to reset to factory settings.
Thanks for the offer
reset to factory defaults, also check the whole printer for paper jams. A paper jam can often casue smaller pieces to get stuck in gears or rollers. The message about opening and closing the lid is how the printer knows you went in to check it and closeing it triggers it to try again. If thers still a jam it will keep giving the message. The fist jam was caused by something, check and make sure there isnt any pieces of plastic broken off inside. If it has a rear access panel, check there also.
