HP 4530s laptop won't power up. Amber light where adapter plugs in.

There might have been liquid spilled on the laptop. Not sure. Looks Ok.

SOURCE: I spilled liquid on my HP Probook 4320S (with spill resistant keyboard). Dried it up straight afterwards. Now it won't power up

Take it to a service shop asp, key board will need to be replaced, and the laptop will need to be assessed for motherboard damage.

My PC laptop hp 4530s does not turn on after water fall on its keypad and i have drained it but it still does not work, what can i do?

You have to make sure that the motherboard is dry before turn it on. Actually, when the liquid spilled on your keyboard, you have to detach the main battery first. If you have plenty of time, then you can disassemble the laptop, make it dry (especially the motherboard), and reassemble it.

Try another cord/charger with the EXACT same power specs. Has the cord been pulled while it was plugged into the laptop damaging the AC jack? If you have a multimeter you can verify you are getting the correct DC volts at the laptop ac jack plug. Probook4530s not recharging. powercord or recharging device problem

Whenyou connect the power adapter into the laptop, does the power LED lightup? If not then -The battery adapter or the adapter's power lead or the laptop's powersocket could be faulty.Check power adapter's DCplug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltageshould be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on thebottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that isprinted on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the adapter is OK thenconnect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/batterycharging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's powersocket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position thisLED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a drysolder joint where it is connected to the motherboard. This can be repaired but itrequires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket andrepair. If you cannot DIY then I suggest you get a quote first.

Blinking white amber light above power cord

The power supply is the issue, or the DC jack in the laptop has developed bad connections, or ram issue. Remove 1 stick of ram and power on, if no! remove second one, and replace the first, power up, if no! test the power supply for proper voltage, if okay! it is a DC jack or motherboard problem.

My hp laptop won't power up. I bought a new power cord and connected to my laptop and the power light won't come on, so what esle can i do to get power to my laptop?

Have you followed the Guided Troubleshooting steps provided on the HP Support web site?

These will take you through a series of checks and decisions to try to isolate the cause of the problem along the following lines:

1. Are you sure you are plugged in to a good power outlet - can you plug a lamp in and does it work?

2. Are you sure that you are using the right power adapter for this laptop, is it the original HP block supplied with the laptop or is it a replacement - if the latter, then does it supply the correct output voltage and watts required by the laptop.

3. Are you sure the problem is not just the laptop display being dead, i.e. have you tried attaching an external display, do you get any leds light on the laptop for power, disk activity etc?

4. Have you tried removing the battery from the laptop and connecting the power adapter with it removed to prove that the battery is not preventing the laptop from powering on?

5. Have you disconnected all external devices from the laptop, in particular docking station, printers, USB devices etc to ensure that no external device is preventing it from powering on?

6. Do you have another power adapter that you can try using - are there any lights on the power adapter to show that it is working?

E system 1212 Laptop won't switch on. Power

Laptops are so integrated that usually a system failure that involves power issues such as in your case where you cant get it turn on with anything on the screen mean the mainboard (motherboard) is damaged. This usually leads to buying a new laptop or paying for the board to be replaced which usually costs as much as the laptop.
