My dch6416 will only display a zero?

You may need to unplug all plugs and replug one at a time. If it is pvr or digital you may need to reboot your modem , unplug and replug all plug on the modem.. They oxidize sometimes and need to be pulled out and pushed bk in to reestablish connection.

Do this like mine sweeping. Grab the remote and put it right up to the front of the box. Press the channel up or down keys as you move the remote across the front of the box. You'll get to a point where the box responds well. Then as you go past the point the box will stop reacting so well. Home in to the point where the box responds well. That's your point for the blaster.

I fixed the problem! I found a posting on a message board by someone who had the same DVR and a similar problem. This person found a way to access a secret menu in the DVR to override the format which is automatically assigned. I followed the same steps to access the menu on my DVR and then tried changing a few settings until I found the ones that worked--changing the automatic setting from OVERRIDE to STRETCH and changing the output setting from 1080i to 480p. Try using the QIP6416 (DVR) model to run it. very similar remote, most remote buttons the same only missing the page and day buttons. Otherwise not sure the problem.
