Hi,
Boot your computer with the recovery CD In the Drive.
You should get the option ** Boot From CD**
highlight click Yes, and overwrite the O/S.
This will re-install windows over your existing version, replacing any corrupt-deleted-missing Files.

SOURCE: acer aspire one stuck on windows safe mode restart

If you have the option of going to a command prompt (on the choose how to start "text" screen), do it, and type at the C:> fdisk /mbr then press the ENTER key. This may fix things. Also, try removing the battery when the computer is off, wait about a minute, then replace it and start computer. This actually helps sometimes.

SOURCE: my acer netbook isstuck in the safe mode restart

if you are running XP the simplest way to go about it would be to pop in an XP cd and repair repair the file system. the not so easy way to get your files back would be to get yourself a Linux Live CD and boot your computer into that and access your HDD, copy the files onto a USB key and key them there.

Your boot sector is corupted. To repair boot record you must boot from Windows xp install cd (if you have windows profesional boot from the same cd, if you have home edition boot from home edition cd, if not you'll not be able to repair your windows) and follow this steps: 1-insert cd and boot from it (if not boot from cd you must go into bios and change boot option to boot from cd, you can go into bios by pressing F2 or Del button during restart) 2-after boot, computer start to copy few files on hdd, after that you must agree license agreement by pressing F8 3-in next window you are asking to repair windows using recovery console or to proceed with a new install, choose repair by pressing R 4-in next window you must choose what windows to repair usually it's c:\windows and if you have only one windows installed press 1 and hit enter 5-now you have to enter a command line a-write "fixboot" without quote and hit enter, then computer ask you if you want to write a new boot sector press y and hit enter, this is gone fix your boot sector b-write "fixmbr" without quote and hit enter, then computer ask you if you want to write a new mbr sector, press y and hit enter, this is gone fix mbr record After that you must be able to reboot normally your computer. Good luck!

My acer 15.6inch the cursor is frozen wont move

Hello,

Which mouse are you using? Is it the integrated mouse or the USB mouse?

If you are using the USB mouse, then try checking if it's plugged in correctly.

If it's your integrated mouse, then restart the computer and when it's up. Try moving your mouse. Restarting it usually does the trick.

If restarting it won't fix the problem, then restart and boot to safe mode. While restarting, tap F8 until you see the options to boot to safe mode. Highlight safe mode by using the arrow keys and hit enter. When you are in safe mode, try moving your mouse. Works or not - update the mouse driver. You can use RadarSync. If no go, then you might need to do a system restore. If worse comes worst, do a complete operating system reinstallation.

I hope this helps!

How do I get into safemode on my acer aspire desktop

1 Restart the Acer Aspire netbook by pressing the "power" button on the netbook's keyboard or by pressing the "CTRL," "ALT" and "DEL" keys at the same time. 2 During startup, hold down the "F8" function key immediately when you see the "Acer" splash screen and the option for entering "Setup." 3 Keep pressing the "F8" key until the "Advanced Boot Options" menu appears. If you receive a "keyboard error," restart the Acer Aspire and repeat step 2. 4 Use the arrow keys to navigate to the "Safe Mode" selection on the "Advanced Boot Options" menu. The arrow keys are located on the right-hand side of the Acer Aspire keyboard. 5 Press the "Enter" key to execute the "Safe Mode" selection. The Windows operating system will now start in "Safe Mode" and you can perform a system restore or make needed changes to get your Acer Aspire to boot normally again. The acer travelmate 3270 freezes after signing / logging in

Could be an issue wth the OS. Take a data backup and do an OS reinstallation. or you can do a complete system recovery by the recovery manager in the notebook.

Start>All Programs>Acer>Acer Erecovery Management

Allow the program to run. Select the option 'Restore'. Click on 'Completely Restore to Factory Defaults". then click on start or ok and let it restore.

My Acer keeps on checking the file system on C: for consistency--after it is finished I get the screen to start windows normally and it will start the check all over again

have you try to check volume errors ?
From My Computer, right click the Drive (c:) then Properties, click Tools tab and then click Check Now, shut it down and restart.
Or you can even click Defragmentation, but it will take a long time.
Be sure to back up your impotant files before do Defragmentation, just in case.

Hi from london, have new acer aspire 1 zg5 new keeps shutting down after boot can u hlp pls?

Try booting the system to Safe mode.

To boot to safe mode:
Restart the computer. As soon as the BIOS has finished loading, keep tapping on F8 key on your keyboard. When the Windows Options menu appears select the "Safe mode" then press Enter.

Once you managed to boot to Safe mode, change the computer startup and recovery settings by right-clicking "My Computer" then select Properties. Select Advanced tab. Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings. Uncheck the box for "Automatically restart" under System Failure.

Reboot again normally, see if it will reboot again by itself. If you managed to make the system boot normally, proceed to Events Viewer to find out what is the caused.

If the system failed to boot normally after doing the above, you might want to boot the system to "Last known good configuration"
