Install android SDK on a PC (http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html)

Connect the tablet with USB cable to the PC

Install USB drivers for android tablet on PC (Updates drivers using this folder http://hotfile.com/dl/136803097/cffe5ab/LiveSuitPack_v1.07_usb_drivers.rar.html)

Open the command prompt

Change directory to the android SDK platform tools (Type in cmd--> cd C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools)

Type following commands in cmd

adb devices (verify device is identified by pc. If not reconnect device and try again)

adb shell

adb reboot

It will restart.

Have you tried forcing a hard restart? You need to press and hold the Volume down button AND the Power/Lock button together for up to 20 seconds. This should make the tablet think you disconnected the battery and force it to shutdown without power. Then you should be able to restart it again as usual.

HOW DO I RESET MY PATTERN LOCK ON MY TABLET

You will have to reset your tablet and then re-establish your pattern lock. To reset your tablet, turn the tablet off. Press and hold the Power and Volume (+) buttons until the tablet restarts. Let it finish it's reset cycle, and you can then use your tablet.

Hi Mercedes, you will have to perform a factory reset to take the tablet back to when new!
Power the Tablet down completely. Press and hold the Power and Volume up buttons until a recovery screen appears. You should be presented with a screen that will allow you to perform a Wipe Data Factory Reset. Perform the reset then restart the Tablet.

My iPad has froze up and I can't get it off and lock

Try pressing the home and lock/unlock buttons on your iPad for about 10 seconds. The iPad should restart and soft reset. This won't delete anything. It will just force it to restart.
