From the Vizio remote in the menu, find the picture settings and select the size you prefer.

Check to see if you are getting power to the power inverters if you are do the flashlite test if you see TV going with flashlight your backlights are out if led you have to check each one or its easier to just buy the whole strip

The downside of a product getting a power surge is it will never be just right. It is not worth the cost to repair it. Consider buying a new TV instead. Suggest a Smart TV.

Vizio had problems with the processor boards.
If you had no lights, I would say power supply, Logo with lights, I would go with Processor board, check ebay. It is called a main board and they run about $60. That is what I would get, but then again, how old is it? If I could replace it with a new for $250 why take a chance for $60. I have a M420VT Vizio TV. I used (4) M6-1.0 x 16mm screws to attach the stand to the TV stand adapter. The screws I used to attach the adapter to the TV were (3) M4-0.7x12mm. It worked out perfectly!
