I have this hot water tank Model 71-52DSerial #0995114032 Rheem 240 volt 4500 It is leaking from bottom but not from any outlets or hoses. Do the bottom of these ware out?

Replace immediately. There are pin holes in bottom of tank. It will get worse and you will wake up with house flooded. Water heater tanks corrode and will result in leaks.

My hot water heater is leaking from the bottom

Well Faith, you're probably going to have to give us more info before we can get too exact, but I can tell you if it's leaking from the very bottom then you're going to wind up with a new heater soon. It's the only part of the heater that can't be repaired, plugged, welded, etc. When it starts leaking, that's the kiss of death.

Leeking water from bottom

I wrote a page on leaking water heaters with resources and information:
Page lists things to check.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Water-at-bottom-of-water-heater.html

Also run hand over tank to find warm spot that says where leak is coming from
A rusted tank cannot be repaired.

If your tank is rusted out, it might burst open and flood the area.
Hot water inside tank is under pressure.
Turn off heat source to water heater.
Turn off water valve located above tank.
Open tub faucet on hot side and relieve pressure from tank.

You can limp along with a leaking water heater by turning it on when hot water is needed.
For example a shower uses 5-9 gallons hot water.
Turn gas water heater on for 15-20 minutes.
Turn electric on for 20-30 minutes.

Help! We bought out home 3 years ago and have a Nortiz tankless water heater. Recently we heard a dripping sound coming from the water heater and found that the bottom of the unit is leaking. We had a...

you will need to explain more of where the leak is on the bottom. You have two plastic valves on the bottom and if the clips are not on exactly it will leak and if the person who replaced valves did not use vasoline when they put it back together the could have cut the gasket ring on the inside putting in back together and again it will leak. You have to determine where the leak is coming from to begin with using a flash light to get the exact location. .

My Rhem Ruud G76-200 water heater leaking from below? Can this be repaired?

If it is actually leaking from the bottom of the heater, then it cannot be repaired. Have you looked to see exactly where the water is coming from? Sometimes a leak at the top of the heater, will then leak through the insulation and out the bottom. Another possible source could be from the temperature/pressure relief valve leaking and coming out of the down pipe that goes near the floor or drain. Try to find the source of the leak. It is not practical or safe to repair a tank that is leaking.

Water on flour of water heater

If your water tank is leaking, is it dripping from above or actually leaking thru the bottom?. Can you find the source? Feel around and try to find wet spots above and around it. If it's not leaking from the water pipes or T&P valve, it's your tank leaking. You'd be wise to have it checked out in the morning, before it gets worse. Hopefully your catch pan has a pipe attached to divert water to the outside or to a sump pump or floor drain. Water heaters do sweat, but you can tell the difference if it continues to leak for several hours.
