Horsepower (HP) is the name of several units of measurement of power. The most common definitions equal between 735.5 and 750 watts. Horsepower was originally defined to compare the output of steam engines with the power of a draft horses... In refrigerator the unit use is horsepower(HP) 1 HP = 750 watts

If you have a light on ( standby light ), then I would say power supply fault, tv could be shut down because of faulty capacitors in power supply. if you dont have any lights at all , check fuse in plug,
( there will almost certainly be a fuse in the tv) but, that is for a tv guy to fix.

Hi, most of the units you have listed are fair, but if it were me buying for my home, I would have to go with the Hitachi. Another top of the line unit would be the Mitsubishi unit. It would be between the two. As far as power consumption, and the Seer rating, either one would be a good choice. Don't go with the LG for sure as they tend to have many problems with them breaking down, just being honest. Good Luck with your choice.
