My mobile htc p3400i get bsnl gprs setting ask

vide their customers an "automatic configuration download system" ,By using these you can directly download the settings from internet to your mobile phone without any charges. (Although god knows why they never ever notified their customers about this feature :-/ ) . To get your GPRS Settings automatically Visit :

• WEST ZONE - http://210.212.179.183/msp/html/
• NORTH ZONE - http://218.248.65.83:8081/msp/html/
• EAST ZONE - http://218.248.71.14/msp/html/
• SOUTH ZONE - http://218.248.72.246/msp/html/
• Log-in using your mobile number as 9194XXXXXXXX (replace xxxx.. with your number) and click login.
• Go to device management tab
• Select your phone vendor and Phone Model
• Then click the "Configure my phone" Button
• THEY WILL SEND YOU SETTING IN 5 MINUTES
  

bsnl gprs settings are different zonewise, you should have mentioned your zone.. else, try consulting http://www.bsnl.co.in/service/mobile_gprswap.htm for your zone..

call up ur operator and ask for windows mobile GPRS settings.

by your no., it seems that you're a subscriber od bsnl UP-E.. you can do the settings as mentioned here > http://www.bsnl.co.in/wap-web/dsn.htm & do the settings by start > settings > connections > connections > Add a new modem connections..

if your touch screen work properly,ur problem is align screen.there are three steps if ur ready to keep

First thing you have to call ur mobile service provider and ask him to acticate gprs on ur sim. a service message will come from operator that will save the settings automatically. i can tell more if u give ur mobile operator details

i am elamurugu. i connect the htc mobile with bsnl cellone GPRS as following method. ies
go to start
go to setting
go to connections
in this go to connections
go to gprs setting
go to Add a new modem connection
go to General Enter a name for these setting as: BSNLGPRS Setting
Select a modem as :CELLULAR LINE (GPRS)
Next
Access point name: GPRSSOUTH.CELLONE.IN [as i am tamilnadu bsnl south zone]
Next
User name: YOUR CELLONE NO 94**********
Password: YOUR CELLONE NO 94**********
Finish
go to Proxy setting
select [tick] This network connects to internet
select [tick] This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet
then go to Connection Setup
Select Operator
Country: India
Operator : BSNL
then OK
Do you want to continue?
Yes
finally RESTART YOUR DIVCE
say YES.

Afer restart you can now use bsnl gprs.You have note a symbol at top of your htc mobile as E or G.

After browsing a lot of sites and experimenting with the settings finally I was able to configure my HTC P3400i with Vodafone Live support without any help from the Vodafone customer care (who were very bad and rude when I called them for getting the setting). The settings is working fine for me in Bangalore. Hope this helps all who bought this phone and struggling for getting the GPRS setting for HTC P3400i.

Below is the step by step instruction:
Step 1
Start->Settings->Connections->Tasks->Add a new modem connection:

Enter a name for the connection:
<give any name>

Select a modem:
Cellular Line(GPRS)

click next

Acess point name:
portalnmms

User name: <blank>
Password: <blank>
Domain:* <blank>

Go to Advanced->TCP/IP
select radio button "Use server-assigned IP address"

Go to Advanced->Servers
select radio buttion "Use server-assigned address"


Step 2
Start->Settings->Connections->Tasks->add proxy setting

Select "This network connects to the Internet"
Select "This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet"

Click "Advanced" button
Tap on HTTP
Server: 10.10.1.100 Port:9401

Username: <blank>
Password: <blank>
Domain: <blank>

Tap on WAP
Server: 10.10.1.100 Port:9401

Username: <blank>
Password: <blank>
Domain: <blank>

Step3:
Start->Settings->Connections->Advanced
In "Select which networks are automatically used"-> click the Select Networks
Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using:
Select the Connection name which you configured in Step 1

Programs that automatically connect to a private network should connect using:
Select the Connection name which you configured in Step 1

Make sure you reboot after doing above change.
