This error can be caused by the following:

1. Fuser that is close to end of life. Maximum print quantity is 225,000 pages.

2. poor quality paper, very thin paper never feeds well and will jam.

3. Printing an image that is almost entirely black can cause the paper to buckle before entering the fuser.


Try different paper to see if that resolves the problem.

That error indicates a problem with the fuser in the printer. You will need to replace the fuser assembly to correct the error. Here is the information from the service manual regarding that error.

Error 50 is a fuser error, you have to replace it. I thonk it's not convenient for you.

An error 50 on most HP Laserjet printer indicates the fuser has a problem. Most common problem is the heat lamp burned oou. The lamp is not a replaceable item unless you re a top notch technician. The fusing assembly however is usually a relatively easy replacement requireing only twisting of a couple of latches or removal of a couple of phillips screws.
The part # for the fusing asm for the HP LJ 3030 is RM1-0865-000CN.
These can readily be found online for anywheres from $120 to $250.

Have you installed your toner cartridge correctly? Taken the pull tab off of cartridge before inserting it.

The fuser and swing gear asm (the swing gears drive the fuser) probably needs to be replaced. I rarely see the fuser drive motor cause this kind of problem. Are you hearing any noise coming from the back?

Common problem on the HP 4200/4300's it's caused by the swing arm (the gear assembly that drives the fuser) HP have modified this. If you contact them direct they may replace it free of charge

Is it a new or refurbished fuser? Where exactly does it jam. By trays, registration or before fuser? Problem can be with various sections. Need to know more.
