I had the same problem. There is a touchpad on the laptop, just above the Pause button, which turns the pad on and off. It is situated on the far right hand side (there are also touch buttons for the volume controls there), between the N500 logo and where the power supply jack fits in.

My Lenovo-3000-N500 has gone totaly dead and cannot be started and booted when power-button pressed. Both mains charger and battery are ok.

Clearly it's a hardware issue if your laptop is still in warranty call lenovo thinkline @ 18004267378 because it might be a possible DC-IN port or motherboard problem..Request for service repair.

My touch pad for Lenovo N500 just stopped working; the mouse pointer is stuck. I have to use and external mouse. Please how do i have my touch pad working again

It most likely has something conductive around the edges. Clean the pad with a cloth or paper towel that has 99% isopropyl alcohol on it. Use something like a toothpick to push the cloth or paper right into the edges. Once it is clean, and completely dry, try again. If it still doesn't work you may need to check the connection inside the laptop.

My Lenovo mouse touch pad stack. and i didn't use it what r the posible soulutions

I do. Open the Lenovo 3000 N500 Notebook PC, and un-stick it.

You need the Service Manual.
Lenovo calls it an HMM.
Hardware Maintenance Manual

Below is the Lenovo Support link for the download page, for the Lenovo 3000 N500's Hardware Maintenance Manual. The Top file listed is the one you want.

Either the site is updating right now, or Lenovo no longer offers this manual. Clicking on the file does no good.

No big deal.

Copy this link, paste it into your address bar, and press the Enter key.
It's a direct link to the HMM file.

Lenovo n500 laptop ... mouse pad not working

The mouse pad maybe faulty or the ribbon cable from the mouse pad to the motherboard may not be properly connected. Reseat this cable.
You can connect an USB optical mouse to the laptop. I prefer you use a USB mouse all the time over the mouse pad.

Mouse is not responding at all

you need to go to device manager...
right click "my Computer"
select "manage"
select "device manager"
click the + sign for "mice and other pointing devices"
select your touch pad...

try to enable it or find what is wrong from there

You'll need a USB mouse or something of that ilk to do it.

good luck
