if you're lucky it's just the bulb who has burned out. If not, and if it implies the power source, it will be expensive to repair. Start by checking the bulb - take it out and check it with an ohmmeter.

wine you trun it on do you hear eny noise comeing from the back of lamp.you should hear the lamp balstor a biz nose if you don,t the lamp power supply need to check.
The clear bulb located back left side needed to be replaced. Too much heat causes the bulb to burn out. Simple fix. One screw to open door to bulb compartment. Two screws to remove bulb assembly. Thank goodness for extended service warranty which paid for it. This is the second one in three years. At the price of $200 for bulb and $100 for trip and labor, this is not an inexpensive fix. Anyone purchasing a projection tv should get an extended warranty.
