I have a Jacuzzi Jet Pump Model 7C-S/B. Not Working

I have a Jacuzzi Jet Pump Model 7C-S/B. It draws water from the lake into our house. It stopped working and is not even turning on to draw water. I have checked and all the electrical connections seem fine. Any troubleshooting tips? Geoff

Check the breaker that supplies power to the unit. If it is in tripped position, check if the motor is grounded ( continuity between terminals and motor body), check for shorted windings (infinity resistance value between the winding phases), and finally check if the pump is stuck up due to debris or defective motor or pump bearings.

Looking for a water pump that sends water to bathroom ,sinks, shower, etc

Single drop jet pumps are the best shallow well pumps. They feature one-way check valves to keep pumps primed. The pump sits above ground, drawing water through a single inlet pipe. Because the mechanics are straight-forward, they tend to need less maintenance.

Jet pumps, the most common pumps for shallow wells, are mounted above wells and draw water up with suction. The height the water can be lifted depends on the weight of the air. Although air pressure varies with elevation, jet-pump-operated shallow wells are commonly limited to 25 feet.

Jet pumps create pressure through the use of an impeller, or centrifugal pump. The impeller moves water — known as drive water — through a narrow orifice, or a jet, mounted in the housing in front of the impeller. Constriction of the jet causes the speed of moving water to increase. As water leaves the jet, a vacuum sucks additional water from the well. This additional pumped water combines with the drive water, discharging into the home at high pressure.

The process of drawing water with shallow well jet pumps uses water. This means the pumps need to be filled with water before they can work. One-way check valves are installed to keep the water from flowing back down the well

I have a lake house with irrigation system drawing water from the lake. The pump works. But there is a second primer pump that I do not know how to turn it on or how it supposed to work.

I used to take care of a system like that in the basement of a ten story college dorm. There was a big pump and a little pump. The purpose of the little pump is to maintain pressure when there is no usage of water. Then when a big demand comes, the big pump kicks in. I had problems with the
big pump getting hot, because the controls didn't work right. I unhooked all the controls and strapped a heat sensing aquastat box to the discharge pipe. When the water got hot, this state
would open a tiny little solinoid valve and dump enough water down the floor drain to keep the
pump cool.

Pump cycles like crazy!!

Sometimes a new tank the blatter will be kinda sealed to the sides of the tank.the amount of air in the tank s/b equal to the cut in pressure of the pressure switch.(40 lb) that would be (60 lb) cut out if you messed with the little screw on the pressure switch you have a problem.there must be the 20 psi of differance between start and stop.

New 1/2 hp jet pump with tank not working

Your hose size is to small. Use a 2in black plastic line out to the lake. Inspect your foot valve, and
take your pump apart to see if you may have a pebble stuck in it, and remove the inner workings
and clean. Contaminates build up inside and need to be flushed out. Remember to replace the
gasket. Tighten all your hose clamps. Once your ready to start, spray shaving cream on your
fittings to see if your sucking air. I've been through it all and my pump works fine.
