My compact fridge has not been used in 4 years but has been plugged in. It no longer has power. Circuit breaker is Ok as is power source.

Opened the door and the light is out. Tried to turn it on and nothing happens. Tried several different outlets and nothing happens.

    The fridge is a U-line fridge/freezer #CO2175FS-00 and not a Haier.

SOURCE: Dehumidifier trips breaker

compressor problem. Talked with coworker who had the same problem. He brought his in for repair and was told the compressor needed to be replaced. The cost of compressor close to the cost of a new unit so time for a new one.

What causes caravan aircon to trip circuit breaker on start up

Want to install split unit aircon in my caravan but see it only has a 16amp breaker, would this be able to run fridge, kettle and aircon at the same time?

Haier dishwasher keeps tripping electricity for the plugs for last few days. Is it a power source issue or a dishwasher problem

You can turn off the breaker that is supplying power to the dishwasher, and pay close attention to whatever else no longer has Power such as light fixtures, plugs, etc. it is quite possible that the circuit may be overloaded (too many devices on that breaker) your problem may only occur when all of the devices are being used at the same time.

Fridge keeps blowing the breaker

Depending on what is causing the breaker to blow will be important to know. Refrigerators do draw a good bit of power on a 20 amp circuit especially when the refrigerator goes into defrost. Refrigerators are made to run on a 20 amp circuit without other machines or appliances using the same power circuit. Circuit breakers weaken over time too especially if they have more than they are. rated for plugged into the same circuit. And your circuit may be doing its job by detecting an excessive draw of power when the refrigerator is plugged in. You must have someone that knows electricity to inspect your refrigerator for shorting and the circuit it is plugged to for correct wiring for every ones safety. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Fridge keeps tripping the circuit breaker

get an inexpensive clamp amp meter (Harbor Freight has them). Turn off power to the plug. Remove plug from wall but do not disconnet wires. turn fridge OFF. plug the unit in the recept. turn on the power. set the meter for the higest reading (amps) & clamp it around the black wire. turn the fridge ON & observe start up current & the "run" current. If the fridge is within limits on the data plate the problem is in the wiring circuit, maybe a loose connection either @ the plug or the breaker. if there are several plugs in the circuit, the problem could be in one of them. In addition, if there is a gfi plug in this circuit, it could be faulty also.

Fridge keeps tripping the circuit breaker

Your fridge should draw no more than 5amp. Presuming your breaker is at least 15amp there's a problem. Move to a different circuit first. If the condition persists check the start relay on the compressor. I have a suspicion the circuit may have another item you are not aware of.
