SOURCE: dishwasher won't start rinse cycle

if the water is switching off at the correct level to initiate the wash cycle and assuming that the water is not being pumped out continuously after that, i would say you have an electronic control problem. there should not be any changes taking place on the display when opening the door

SOURCE: Electronic Timer sticks on Wash Cycle

hi Because the timer controls many operations, a faulty timer can cause many problems. The timer is a complex component, so you shouldn't attempt a do-it-yourself repair. Test the timer with a VOM set to the RX1 scale. To gain access to the timer, remove the front control panel. The timer is directly behind the main timer control knob. Disconnect one of the timer's terminal wires and clip one probe of the VOM to each terminal. If the meter reads zero, the timer is working. If the meter reads higher than zero, the timer is faulty and should be replaced.

If possible, use the same procedure to test the selector and cycle switches. The wiring hookup, however, may be too complicated to figure out on either of these switches. If you aren't sure you can deal with these switches, call a professional service person. Replace a faulty timer -- or a faulty control switch -- with a new one made for the dishwasher.

The timer is connected to several wires that supply power to operate the various functions of the dishwasher. To replace the timer, have a helper hold the new timer next to the old one. Connect the wires of the new timer one by one, removing the old wire and connecting the new, to make sure you connect the wires correctly. The wires may be friction-fit on the terminals. If they are, use long-nosed pliers to remove the wires. Don't pull up on the wires, or you may break the connection between the wires and the clips.

After connecting the wires, set the new timer in position, secure it the way the old one was secured, and replace the control panel and knobs.

SOURCE: dishwasher starts but never seems to come out of wash cycle

Hi,

Check to see if the unit is heating. Open the door mid cycle. If the unit doesn't heat then the unit cannot advance to the next step in the programme. it is basically waiting to reach temperature which it won't if the heating element or thermostat has blown. Hope this helps.

Timer light on front panel of dishwasher has stopped working--how is it replaced?

Most of the led lights are fused to the circuit board. Sounds like the circuit board is going or gone bad. I'm not sure because you did not give the model of the dishwasher.

Most of the control lights are led and do not go bad. But the circuit board that controls the lights can go bad. You may be able to fix the control circuit board but replacing it would be easier.

Why won't it run

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

Float Switch

The float switch may be hung up and this can cause the dishwasher to be stuck in a cycle.

Timer / Control

If your dishwasher gets stuck in a cycle first try shutting off the breaker for at least 5 minutes if this does not correct the problem you will need to replace the timer/electronic board.91d0c2b1-1baa-49b9-9f99-f6a86f3b29df.jpg

Only can use the heavy wash cycle

HELLO THERE
The cycle doesn't advance or you are unable to use one of the cycles such as light or the normal wash cycle, your problem normally is caused by a bad timer It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance.and if you set it to the normal cycle or light cycle and nothing happens Then you need to replace the timer. ok? hope this is veery helpful for you
Best regards Michael

Hi my hoover 6612 dishwasher does its pre-wash but then when the light for wash comes on it does nothing. I wondered if it might be a capacitor which needed replacing but I can't find one - any ideas??

Check the float switch inside the tub, it should move freely up and down.

Check the harness to the motor

Check start capacitor on the left side of the wash motor
