A 54.XX error is a sensor problem. What possessed you to play with the toner cartridges? Could be a thermal problem or a bad sensor. You are going to need technical help.
good day sir. i have the same problem before. try replacing the black laser. it worked for me. I simly moved one of the color
lasers to the black spot and it worked.
If the error won't go away, the DC Controller in the printer will have to be replaced. The ".0C.01" part of the error can't be found in the service manual, but I don't think that it will change the fix.

Clean the thermistor and clear the code by turning on both dip switches on the main board, turn off the main switch, turn off the dip switches, turn on the main switch.
