Two of five cooktop burners fail to light

I have a JGC8536ADS Jenn Air cooktop and two of the five burners fail to ignite when I turn on the gas. You can hear and see the spark from the igniter working, but the spark appears to come on the backside of the igniter (farthest from the gas) and therefore doesn't ignite the gas. Should I replace the two igniters or is there a way to rotate them better so they spark toward the burner vice away?

You can try to scratch the area where it grounds to with a wire brush or screw driver this will help sometimes. sometimes when it archs down try tighten the screws to lift up the ignitors into the hole better. or if this doesn't work replace the ignitors.

All cook top burners spark when any is turned on

OK, the best action is to call for service, if the unit was just installed, and purchased. This unit should be covered at this time, by the manufactures warranty, or store 30 day warranty. This repair should be free. The culprit will be a faulty spark ignition switch, and module. Testing is required. Once this switch, or(module), is replaced, the unit will operate correctly.

Gas igniters on all five burners keep sparking (JennAir CCG556B)

Try cleaning around all the ignitors at each burner. Look for build up of cleansing product and/or food. Sometimes all it takes is a good cleaning and removal of a buildup to solve this. Worth trying before replacing a bunch of parts!

Romvoing the top of my Whirlpool Cooktop

well usually you have to remove the knobs. thentake all of the caps off of the burners. sometimes there are scres that hold the burner caps on. make sure you turn the power off. Then after you have done this the glass should come right off. If not there may be screws under the cooktop. Do these first steps and let me know how it goes.

Jenn-Air JGC8536 Gas Cooktop ignitor replacement

One burner doesn't consistently light. Igniter sparks but not the same as the other - "good" burners spark at top of igniter and moves around to light, "bad" burner sparks toward the bottom and doesn't move much. I can use the burner by lighting with a match and it works fine. Have tried cleaning with a toothbrush without much success

Burner clicks a long time before igniting you can smell the gas

Not sure about what part 1 is about. #2 indicates a failing ignitor gap or a bad gas mix. Get professional assistance.
