My ps2 wont turn on

check to see if the adapter is working and that it is plugged in properly. if it is, your cord connecting your motherboard to your ps2 might be unplugged. to do this you need to open your ps2 ENTIRLY and plug it back in.

Some buttons on controller not responding

Ask yourself a few questions: Is the PS2 overheated? Was it under any physical contact? Try plugging the PS2 in a different power outlet, then try taking out all controllers and plug one controller in the second player controller spot.

Controller port 1

I had the same problem once, although with controller port 2. What had happened with me is someone had jammed the controller into the port too hard and actually jarred the board inside loose. When I would plug in the controller, it fit ok but wasn't making a good connection inside the machine. This could also be caused by repeat plugging/unplugging or if a controller was pulled out by someone tripping over a cable or something. I wouldn't recommend opening the system yourself as it will void your warranty, but if this is the issue, it is very easy to fix. Another possible problem is just a bad controller, try another controller if you have one, if not, plug your current one into port 2.

Pelican Predator 697 problem...

Pelican Products are unlicensed by Sony and would also void any warranty you had on the PS2. (Me not being a Employee, just what they'd tell you) Have you tried turning off the console taking out the Batteries of the controller,Unplugging the controller from the ports and replugging it back in? Also try a Dual Shock 2 Analog controller (If you have yours still) and see if your ports have gone bad. Usually 3rd party controls could potentially damage your PS2's Controller port as they do not supply the correct power or Data for your system.

If you have a wireless controller change the batteries and if you have a normal controller blow out the plug or call Sony.
