Hi, i've used the online print ordering wizard many times in the past. now when i go to use it i get the following message "the wizard could not connect to the internet, or the web service returned a wizard page that is not valid"...is there something i can do to fix this.
This is a part of microsoft xp, and it allows you to download your digital photos to a file i.e. "my pictures" and from there the "wizard" will link you to some retailers i.e. kodak, shutterfly, snapfish etc so you can have your photos processed, printed and delivered to your home. It worked just great as you can manipulate photos from different files within "my pictures" and send them off to be printed. Then it just stopped working, that's when I got the error message and at first I thought it was one retailer but it's all of them and now I have pictures scattered in folders and can't send them to print unless of course I upload them to webshots, create and albumn etc
This may because of your firewall blocking it for some unknown reason.
Try adjusting your firewall settings, or trying adjust the settings in the Printer Ordering Wizard.
Also go into the Internet Options and having a browse around there to see if that's any settings for the Online Printer Ordering Wizard.
To get to the Internet Explorer settings, open your web browser, now click on "Tools" probably on one of the taskbars on the top row, after you've done that click on "Internet Options". Once your on it just have a look around on that to see if you can see anything about it.
Also try resetting internet options just see if that's the problem. To do that, when your on Internet Options click on "Advanced", now click on "Restore Advanced Settings".
Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful.
