Photo importer in German language

When you insert the SD card, the photo importer opens in German, not handy since I'm not fluent in German

Hi there.
The hard drive will be full so you will need to transfer all your videos to your PC then format the hard drive in the camera's menu, make sure the SD card is removed before you format it.

First do a back up of all your GPS data.
Then erase the lex pkg on the Garmin (the limited version that came free)
Then insert your language sd card it should ask you if you want to load the language pkg
to the garmin say yes then remove the card and it should all work ...

either your pc card reader or adapter for sd card is at fault here....but try this way connect your camera to pc (using usb cable)...go to my computer see the new device (camera) click on it to open ...your pix are there now copy & paste (click & drag) to your folder on the pc...hope this is helpful...feel free to rate

Can you provide more detail in the Comments section about what you mean by "next", and what device and computer you have?

If you have a SD card, and you have an SD card reader in or attached to the computer, then you can insert the SD card in the reader.
The computer will probably pop up with a question like " What would you like to do with this media - open in a folder, open with an application, etc"
Depending what you want to do=
If you want to copy the files to the computer, choose Open in a folder - or you can click on the icon of the SD card drive in File Explorer (Win) or Finder (Mac) to open it. Then you can select, drag and drop files from the SD to a folder on a drive on your computer to save them.

If you want to view photos from the SD card, you can allow it to open in the default photo viewing application it suggests. Or, the SD card will mount as a drive on your computer (For random example, Drive F: on Windows or "Name of The card" on Mac) you can open your choice of image program (Photos, PC or Mac or many others) and chose Import from the menus, direct it to the SD card by name or drive letter, and allow it to import the photos for viewing.

Cannot import photos off my camera sd card,
I would try a different card in the camera, and format it before using.....if that works then you may have to use some special software to retrieve the photos off the bad card if they are important to you....

The SD memory card slot in located on the side og your camera. Push the SD card and it will pop out.
The photos are stored on the SD memory and removing it from the camera will not lose the photos stored on this SD memory card.

What cable do I need to download pictures from my DCZ 7.4 camera to my PC?

However, it uses a common type of memory card SD.  You can take out the card from the camera, insert it into an SD card reader, and the reader's USB jack into the back of the computer. Your photos can be downloaded at Start/My Computer/ and click on the SD card volume (E: or D: etc ) and open any folders inside to see your photos, copy and paste them to your hard drive.

Alternately use picasa software or the irfaniew viewer from www.irfanview.com to import, view and edit these photos from the SD card.

Rx3715 several problems
If you have only flashed the English ROM, not any other language ROMs, read the following paragraphs. If you have flashed other language ROMs but not the German one try flashing the German one instead, there is something about it that clears the ppc out better. If you have flashed the German one, do not read on, as it will be an insult to your intelligence.

Most problems can be fixed with a ROM correction. Unfortunately, this is unachievable by simple re-flashing the English ROM. Certain other versions of the ROM (usually German is used) contain different enough sets of code (possibly different firmware?) to force the ppc to truly reset, unlike what happens when simply flashing the US ROM or changing to ROMS that use similar enough coding. Try flashing the German ROM and THEN reverting to the English. This tends to solve most any major iPaq issue.
