I have the same problem. Intermittently, the screen is covered with pink and red dots, in a DNA test result looking pattern. If you change the source (HMDI1, HDMI2, Composite, etc), it remains, so I think it's the TV and not an incompatibility on the HDMI interface. If I turn the TV off and on, it goes away. It's happening about once every 3 days or so. Does anybody have a solution? Thx

I saw you post stating that you have pink spots/dots on your Screen.
to determine what the problem is we weill need to turn your computer off and boot into the BIOS screen.
1. Turn your Computer Off, then as soon as you power the machine On keep on tapping F1 on the keyboard to get the BIOS screen it will be a Blue screen with white fonts on it, in that screen see if the pinks dots are present or not.
2. If the pink dots are present in BIO then that means that the LCD screen of your Laptop needs to be replaced.
3. You will need to call your manufacturer regarding this concern check if your system is still in warranty, because this will be very expensive if you are out of warranty.
4. All manufacturers will cover a pixelated LCD screen if the dots or pixelated area has at-least 5 or more dots/pixelated areas on the LCD screen.
I hope that his will help you with the concern that you have posted.

I had a similar problem but mine was just red specks that showed up in dark scenes. I opened up my plasma and found the adjustment pots that are labeled Vsc, Vy. I then marked the factory default with a sharpie first. Then I lowered the Vy a little and my red specks disappeared. Now my tv looks awsome again like it was new.
The yellow and magenta image units may be the problem. Yellow may have worn out on one end causing the yellow line. If the pink dots show up on every page but move around from page to page, there may be damage to the magenta image unit. You can remove the image units from the machine and look at the drums (long green cylinders), this should be shiny and clean. If not, you may need to replace.
COUPLE THINGS: MAIN MODULE OR DISPLAY INTERFACE BOARD. YOU HAVE TO DETERMINE: IS THAT HEAT RELATED ISSUE.MEANS, WHEN IT ACTS UP, WAS SET JUST TURNED ON OR WORKED FOR A WHILE? ALSO, TRY NOT TO PLAY WITH POWER BUTTON. MUST POKE SET OPEN, FIRST AND RUN TV WITHOUT BACK OPEN.IF IT, STILL DOES IT, MIGHT NEED TO DO SOME EXPERIMENTATION: USE HAIR DRYER AND HEAT UP MAIN BOARD, WITH TUNER AND OTHER THINGS ON IT. SEE, IF THAT WILL CHANGE THE BEHAVIOR. ALSO, DON'T FORGET TO LOOK AT THE POWER SUPPLY BOARD, FOR BLOTATED CAPACITORS. SEE THE ONE(S), IMMEDIATELY REPLACE! NEXT, DO THE SAME TO DISPLAY CONTROLLER.LOCATED RIGHT ON DISPLAY, BURIED INSIDE OF METAL SHIELD. LET ME KNOW, HOW IT GOES. GOOD LUCK, ALEX'S TV SERVICE, PA.
Howdy,
It sounds like you have a Power Supply Board problem. The PSB is the center Board (towards left) after you remove the back off the TV. Remove Board from TV with the 6-7 screws. Replace capacitors CM811, CM812, CM817 & CS806; 1000ufd 25volts. It is the board to the left and you notice that the four cap tops are swollen.
It is easy to replace get a stanard solder pencil and you are in business.
