Dead pixels can not be repaired.
The model# WD-52525 you provided is for a DLP TV.
If you are seeing white dots on the screen it is due to a bad DMD chip or light engine. Unfortunately, it is not a cheap fix.
Basically the white dot is a dead pixel, this is common with LCD screens. You have nothing much to worry about unless the screen develops more dead pixels which could lead to a screen replacement although its highly unlikely.
It can be pixel problem. Every pixel has one transistor to switch off or on. I hate howmanufacturerstreatus because lot of them 'believe' that thisis not a problem (must be more than 6-8 pixel problem on screen for changing). Sometimes little press with finger and shutting down screen can help, but it is possible to do worse if it is to hard press. Price for screens depend on that tolerating of bad pixels from manufacturing. Only few manufacturer can give you guarantee pixel free screen. It is good to know that we have right to return device after buying if we are not satisfy.
No, that's not true at all. Each pixel is its only little device - one pixel does not effect another.
The pixels work together to make a picture, but are all controlled separately.
If your pixel is "stuck" and not dead, then you may be able to fix it! A stuck pixel is red, blue, green or white, while a dead pixel will show up as black.
Sometimes a stuck pixel can be fixed by covering a pencil eraser with a cloth and pushing down on the pixel gently while the TV is on.
So, in summary - no, one bad pixel doesn't mean any other pixels are bad.
Hope that helps,
Alex
Most likely its a dead or stuck pixel (a dot on the screen which makes up the overall picture). You can read about it here (Link) . If its a stuck pixel you may be able to fix it. That wikipedia article gives some methods of removing it under 'Dead vs Stuck Pixel'. However if its a dead pixel there isnt much you can do except bring it back to where you bought it if its still quite new or ring the manufacturer if you still have a warranty and try get it replaced.
White pixels are STUCK pixels, not dead. Read the warranty beacuse at a certain number of stuck/dead pixels, the tv is repaired for free by the seller if is in warranty period.
Shure, you can have it fixed. I strongly suggest that you call around and check prices first. Samsung IS a quality brand. How many TENS OF THOUSANDS, if not more units do you think they make? Getting ONE bad, is a pretty god ratio. Sorry it had to be you that bought the bad one.
if you take the back cover off the tv, you will see in a white screw in almost every board, those are called pot. (potentiometer). if you can get to meter the Ve. Vs. and Vset. start to screw or unscrew those white screw according to what the label says. usually the ones who gives you the blue and red dots are the white screw on the right of the center panel, and the one on the right of the right panel right under the metal thing to hang on the wall.
