You get a so-called elevated prompt by rightclicking on cmd under Start - all programs - accessoires - commandprompt and them choose "run as administrator".

Forget Admin password in Windows 8

If you can sign into your Windows 8.1 using another admin account, you can also reset password to login Windows 8.1 free from the command prompt. Go back to Windows Password Recovery tool if you don't have another admin account. Press "Win Key+R" and type "cmd" in the "Run" command box and hit enter to open command prompt. Type the command "net user UserName NewPassword", in the command prompt and hit "Enter".. If you want to remove this password, just replace NewPassword with *.

Windows 8 administrator password recall

if you can aces command prompt (type "cmd" without "" into run or new task or search), and you have admin rights (not limited account) try this: On the Command Prompt, type in: Net User <user name> <new password> and press Enter to reset a new password for Windows 8. in your case user name is administrator ? so: net user administrator 1234 and your administrator password should become 1234 . will not work on guest or limited account :) cheers

Hello, Trying to get into the Config Software

Try the other common ones: 192.168.1.1, 192.168.100.1, 192.168.0.1, 192.168.10.1.

If those doesn't work, open a command prompt, and then type in ipconfig /all. Look for the value in the Default Gateway, and use that.
