SOURCE: JVC RX-618V SOUND IS MUFFLED

check to see if the radio is clear. If it is it may be the signal going into the amplifier. if it is muffled as well, depending if you have an Equalizer hooked to the unit. This also could cause the problem. Finally check the bass, treble balance and volume knob but turn them back and forth while unit is on and see if signal clears up momentarily. if this is the case the control knobs need to be cleaned. Also spin the connection jacks {RCAs} in the rear and see if this clears it up. If not you may have to have the unit serviced by a professional.

SOURCE: Sound not coming from left side surround sound speaker or my right side front speaker

it is highly likely that you're TV is outputting mono sound, hence the left channel only. check your physical connections to the TV and the balance / channel volume on the television as well.

SOURCE: klh audio video R5100 surround sound receiver

could be 2 things....
1) The receiver could be set to feed the right speaker with more volume. Check the volume setting for each individual speaker on the receiver.

2) The cable connecting the left input from your dvd player is not connected properly or is bad. Try swapping the left and right audio input cables to see if this moves the problem to the other side. If it does - get a new cable.

SOURCE: my left rear speaker has no sound. All others

Swap your left and right rear speaker over. If you still get no sound from the right speaker connected to the left speaker connection on the receiver, then you have a fault on the receiver output. Check your manual first to see if any setting switch off the rear speaker before taking the unit for repair or replace

How to set up surround sound

Not sure what you are looking for

But if 5 speaker setup have your front left and right speakers on the appropriate side of the television, your center speaker in the middle of the tv, Either mounted on the wall or underneath or on the shelf, try to have the center speaker set back from the front speakers. Subwoofer usually I mount behind the entertainment center. Your rear right and left speakers optimum position is behind you on the left and right.

If its a 7 speaker setup everything is the same except side right and left speakers go in the middle somewhere between the right and left front and rear speakers

I will make a example the the cursors [] Speaker *TV
LF[] CT and TV*[] RF[] []Subwoofer behind tv
SL[] []SR
LR[] RR[]

Hopefully that helps

Bought a LG Blu ray DVD Home theater system last weekend and set up with LG lcd tv and has been working fine till today. We had the radio on and I turned the TV on and the two rear speakers do not work...

Hello,
In a surround sound system, the correct way to listen to music is in stereo mode which will play out of your left and right channels and your subwoofer. When viewing a movie with surround sound, then you should use your rear speakers. The key element to remember is that rear speakers are only intended to play your sound effects, and will not play full range audio. Thats what your fronts and center are for. If you simply want to override this, than you will need to select the direct sound field on your receiver and than it will send full range audio to all speakers connected. Most likely, its not going to sound that good. If you dont know what each sound field does, here is a list and function of the most commonly used ones.
Stereo-Front Left and Right speakers including subwoofer
Dolby Digital or PLII Movie-these are the bost options for your surround sound
Direct-All speakers connected get full range signal
Good Luck

I have 2 technic sl1200s and the right table has noise coming out of the speaker when i moved the tonearm. when music plays, it sounds like the treble and volume of the right speaker is weaker help...

If your left technics sounds good, maybe the problem is the cartridge. Try to interchange the cartridges, right table cartridge by the left one, and listen. If now the bad sound comes from the left table, it´s time to get a new cartridge or stylus. If the problem continues there is something else to look for. Hope this will help. Flavio/Brazil.

The rear and centre speakers are not working but the front and subwoofer speakers are working. What do I need to do to get the three working. In the booklet it says the rear speakers might not work becasue...

From them manual Troubleshooting section:

"When listening to a CD or radio, sound is output to the front
speakers (L/R) only. Select "PRO LOGIC II" by pressing
PL II (Dolby Pro Logic II) on the remote control to use all
six speakers.
• Make sure that the DVD disc is 5.1-CH compatible.
• If you set C, SL, and SR to NONE in the speaker mode in the
audio setup of the setup screen, no sound is heard from the
center speaker and the rear left and right speakers. Set C,
SL, and SR to SMALL."

This means you might want to check your speaker settings again and make sure the Cenyer and Surrounds are defined.

One of my DJ turntables = only left side stereo sound

need to narrow it down, using 1 turn table ONLY with the mixer on channel 1 (the chanel that is working) to test reciever is working properly and sound working on both side of the speakers, this eliminate the first turn table. Next, disconnect the working turn table (1) and connect your second turn table to the same chanel and see if you getting the sound coming chanel 1 just as your first turn table did. If you getting sound coming out from turn table on ch1 than is not the turn table issue. It will be you mixer having problems. You cant solve the problems having everything connected. Testing one turn table at a time using working chanel on the mixer to see if both turn table working properly. If you use the same chanel testing both turn table and the second one does not work than it will be one of your turn table is faulty. Note: if you find and test both of your turn table is working properly than it will be your mixer. good luck and hope that help..

Cannot get all speakers to work at once!!

It could be that every sound has its recording style, some record the sound to just left or right only(mono left or mono right) some has stereo, recorded on left and right. Some have induced additional sound that only surround sound is best at.

Or some base on signal strength, some cut or boost only to the level it is set to appear.
