Sending fax for hp all in one indicate Comm Error 388

Error could be caused by the fax machine that you are sending to.
So you can receive faxes, but can't send them. Is it just the one number that causes the error, or is it all faxes sent that cause the error?
What I like to do on fax troubleshooting calls, is to call the phone company that the site is using. Tell them that you are having fax problems, and ask them to test the line.

I have a problem in my ATM machine.. it shows the error on screen ( communication down) i check my telefone lines its ok ..... and there is no problem in brain net connection ..... plz some one help me...

Different ATM Machines have different error codes. If your ATM machine is experiencing a communication failure it could be a bad modem board, or just a simple phone line problem.

I suggest starting with replacing the phone line. First, plug a regular phone into the wall phone jack, make sure you have dial tone. If you do, get a brand new phone cord and run that into the top of your ATM. Disconnect your ATM phone line inside the head of the ATM and plug that new cord in there. Try and clear the communicaiton error. If that works, try a transaction. If that works, replace old line with this new one.

If that doesn\'t work, make sure you didn\'t lose master keys, and that your ATM is actually online with your processor.

If you are not getting good service, and your ATM has been down for days, you should look into changing your ATM processing.

Arrows indicate the line is in use and it is not in use. How do I clear the line?

It depends on where the fault is coming from. I've seen this when there is a problem with the phone line coming in. First try a different phone (wired is best) and listen for a signal. (I use an old rotary phone for diagnosis since it has no extra features to get confused.)

Take a phone to where the line comes in and open the box, if it has an RJ-11 test jack see if you get an in use signal as well. Call your phone company if this is the case. If it is an older system, you may need to get a special tester to do the test (either call the phone company to send someone out or Cyberguys.com sells them.) Unfortunately, not all technicians properly check for the fault.

If it is an inside wiring issue, you need to look for broken or damaged wires. If there was a recent lightning strike, check any line noise filters.

I hope this helps.

First start with *#0002*28346#
1. You will see menu showing "Under construction".
Press #.
2. New screen apears.:
[1] Load Params
[2] Call Config
3. Press Call Config
4. New screen (in here are all the settings for call volume):
[1] RCV Rx Call Vol (that`s what we focus on)
[2] RCV Rx Drmf Vol[]
[3] RCV Codec Gain[]
[4] RCV NS-EC[]
[5] RCV Tx AGC[]
[6] RCV Rx AGC[]
[7] RCV Tx Filter[]
[8] RCV Rx Filter[]
5. Press 1 to get into RCV Rx Call Vol Settings.
6. Now starts the editting.
You should see something like this (values below are not default cause i already changed them):
0.[2] rx:0.0dB
1.[4] rx:10.0dB
2.[6] rx:25.0dB
3.[8] rx:50.0dB
4.[10] rx:100.0dB
5.[12] rx:200.0dB
6.[14] rx:255.0dB
Input Ex: 123-> 12.3dB

Last line explains almost everything.
Each line represents different volume levels. Let`s say you want to edit first line. Then you press 0. Screen on your phone should blink. Now you enter value for the level. Let`s say you want it to be 21.3dB. Type in 213 and press ok. Display should blink and you will see:

1.[4] rx:10.0dB
2.[6] rx:25.0dB
3.[8] rx:50.0dB
4.[10] rx:100.0dB
5.[12] rx:200.0dB
6.[14] rx:255.0dB
Input Ex: 123-> 12.3dB
That`s it. You just changed first line which means the lowest volume setting to 21.3dB. Keep playing with other settings. When you want to change second line just press 1. Then screen blinks again. Let`s say you want it to be 255dB. Type in 2550 and press OK. Screen blinks and you should see:
0.[2] rx:21.3dB

5.[12] rx:200.0dB
6.[14] rx:255.0dB
Input Ex: 123-> 12.3dB

[3] RF Test
[4] UMTS rf nv
[5] Read gsm rf nv
[6] Write gsm rv nv
[7] Base Band
[8] Audio (that`s where we are going now)
[9] Common

Error Log Result 232... The telephone connection was lost.

Error 232 Definition A communication failure occurred between the two machines. The user at the remote machine might have pressed the Stop key. The call waiting service can cause this error. The click, heard for an incoming call, is actually a momentary disconnect of the line. Do not use call waiting on a line with a fax machine. The power at the remote machine was interrupted, or deliberately turned off causing the fax session to be interrupted. Check the following items: Make sure that you have plugged the phone cord directly and securely into the wall jack and into the back port of the fax product. The fax port on your product is marked "Line," "To Wall Jack," or with a wall jack symbol. Make sure the Line Interface Unit (box that the phone cord plugs into) is fully seated into the back of the fax product. Remove any other devices from the line such as splitters, credit card machines, or telephone answering machines. Try sending and receiving faxes on a different fax line. Try using a different telephone cord. Have the phone company test your line for static or noise problems. Turn Error Correction Mode (ECM) off, if you encounter the same error repeatedly Solutions If the error persists, and error correction is in use for the fax session, disable ECM. Fax quality might be degraded. Set the host machine to receive at a slower transmission speed. Retry the fax reception at a different time when telephone line conditions have improved. Call the telephone provider if line conditions fail to improve. These errors can occur if the phone lines in the area to be faxed are old or there is noise (static on the phone line). Other reasons can include power brownouts and other power-related problems. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe

Unplug the phone from power for about ten minutes and see if that resets it..i'm not sure if that uses and adaptor for power... but be aware it also gets power from the phone line as well... so unplug that too.

RCA Visys 25204RE1 Message indicator light not working

If it works sometimes, then it might be a problem with the phone or the phone line itself.

If it never works at all, then it's a problem with the services that the phone company has enabled/disabled on the line.
If that's the case, call your phone company's repair line and explain the situation. They can check to confirm that the message waiting indicator service is provisioned on the line, or add it if it's not.

New Message Light won't stop flashing

Don't know about other models, but I just called RCA small business phone support (800-511-3180) to find out how to clear the message light indicator on my 25210 2-line cordless phone when it continues to blink but there is no message.

All you have to do is hold down the delete button for a few seconds and it will clear. Hope this helps someone else from going batty!
