Log into your TalkSwitch Management Software.
Go to Telephone Lines.
Under each incoming line make sure that Caller ID is checked.
Click File> Save
Hopefully this will fix it for you.

I need to know how to find out numbers on caller ID that tell me who has called.

If the display never shows caller ID info, check with your phone service provider to be sure caller ID is active on your account. If the display sometimes shows only number instead of caller ID, write down the number. Then go to www.okcaller.com and search the number. Some business names will show up. Often you will at least find out what city & state the caller is from.

Caller ID
If you subscribe to caller ID service, information about each caller appears after the first or second ring. If you answer a call before the caller information appears on the screen, it will not be saved in the caller ID log. The caller ID log stores up to 50 entries. Each entry has up to 24 digits for the phone number and 15 characters for the name. If the telephone number has more that 15 digits, only the last 15 digits appear. If the name has more than 15 characters, only the first 15 characters are shown and saved in the caller ID log. Review a caller ID log entry Press CID when the phone is not in use. Scroll to browse through the caller ID log. When the desired entry appears: Press repeatedly to show different dialing options. Caller id will not show on the display.

Did you change carriers? A lot of the VoIP carriers like vonage and magic jack will only give you the telephone number on caller id, but not the name.

I have magic jack now and they call that "caller id", but having moved from a carrier that had name attachment i assumed all caller id's had name and phone number both...but not so

Using the Caller ID and Redial Lists
Caller ID (CID) is a service available from your telephone provider that shows the phone number (and sometimes the caller's name) of incoming calls. Contact your telephone provider for more information.
Caller ID list



Redial list



When a call comes in, the phone displays the number and name (if available) of the caller.
The phone saves the information for the last 30 received calls to the

CID list.
When it's in standby, the handset shows how many calls came in since the last time you checked the CID list.


Each handset remembers the last 5 numbers you dialed on it. The redial list is separate for each handset.

My caller id is not showing name or number of the

Since CID display to the phone comes from the Panasonic phone SYSTEM, you might try looking inside the cabinet to see if it has a caller ID card. The part ends in 93.

It also requires some programming. If you post your model number, I might have a CID card if yours is missing.

Caller ID posts incorrect name with number What

Some telephones, just like your cell phone, will show the caller-id name you have programmed into the phone-book memory. If this is the case, then the solution is an easy one, just change name yourself.
If this happens on every caller-id phone or box in your house, then you should call your phone company as there CNAME database might be corrupt.
However if this only happens on the GE phone you mentioned and there is no phonebook memory in it, then I suggest exchanging the phone.

UNIDEN TRU8888-CALLER ID DOES NOT WORK

Thanks for using FixYa. I think you have stored more than 100 Caller ID messages and hence the caller ID is not showing on Uniden Tru8888. In the following cases the caller ID will not be shown-

If you answer a call before the Caller ID message is received (for example, before the second ring), the Caller ID message will not appear.

When the call is received via a telephone company that does not offer Caller ID service, the caller’s phone number and name does not appear. (This includes some international calls.)

When the call is via a private branch exchange (PBX), the caller's phone number and name may not appear.

You may receive any one of the following messages:

When a private name is received; Private Name
When a private number is received; Private Number
When a unknown name is received; Unknown Name
When a unknown number is received; Unknown Number
When invalid data is received; Incomplete Data

The Caller ID list stores information for incoming calls - even unanswered calls. You can store up to 100 Caller ID messages and phonebook entries (including Speed Dials) for each handset and the base. You can view the Caller ID list through the handset or base during a call or when the phone is in standby mode.

Memory locations for Caller ID messages and Phonebook entries (including Speed Dials) are common, you can store up to all 100 entries for each handset and the base. Caller ID messages are not stored when you have 100 phonebook entries. When you have stored a total of 100 phonebook entries and Caller ID messages, the oldest Caller ID message is overwritten.

Cect i9 caller id does not show names

let me give you an eg:

i stored an number 984802338 in my mobile with name jhon in my sim, when he calls me up it doesnt show the name.

It is because when he calls me, i observe the number it starts with +919848022338 so it is quite different from the number(9848022338)  you stored in the sim so you caller id doesnt show his name and shows as new user.

so 9848022338 is quite different from +919848022338(here +91 is country code)
