Any idea, is it the bearings or drum going or something like a coin or button stuck in the motor or cogs somewhere. help or advice much appreciated.

Problem fixed the electric supply wire connected to the heating element terminal had broker away put a new end connector to the wire and pushed it back on to the terminal connection works a treat now. Dont understand why the wire does not have a heat protective sleve over it so protecting it from heat damage and amking it brittle.

Control board needs to be replaced. Many times the control boards go bad because of a spike in the electrical grid cause by a brown out, lightening strike or even a surge in the power. After the control board is replaced... I suggest using a surge protector on all of your electronic devices including the washing machine.

I can use other programmes okay like rinse/spin and only when I use a wash programme that the timer counts down the cloths are washed but does not move on to the next cycle of rinse and spin. So I dont think it the control board but more like something is not triggering the next stage in the complete wash cycle. Some of the suggested solution like bearing or heater element blow or disconnected might be the cause. Will call a repair man to check it out. Thanks for your suggetion and help with this.

SOURCE: stuck in wash cycle

check if heating by putting on as hot wash and feeling the door. if no heat, check continuity thro the heater - modern heaters have a non-resettable cut-out in them which can cause problems. no heat then no program advance

SOURCE: My machine does half a

susan,

the way you describe it is typical of a faulty heating element.

remove rear inspection panel and if your lucky you will see a broken spade connection at the heating element.

if no wires are broken an element will be required, part number 1604486 or C00094715, price aprox £20-30

hope this helps

Problem is too much soap. Wrong soap. Press and hold: SPIN SPEED & SOIL LEVEL buttons--then press POWER button.
Wait for door to lock.

Press the START button (6) times--this will fill the tub with hot water to the maximum setting when it stops filling.

Press the START button two more times--this will enable the tub to tumble.
After 3 hours--turn "off" the washer.
Turn the washer back "on".
Select the shortest wash cycle (usually "quick wash") and press "START". This will rinse out the tub.

Manua beko 5kg aa class 1000 rpm

most washers on a full wash cycle take about 60 minutes. It will take longer if you use a soak cycle with extra minutes because if you have a soak cycle and you set it for 30 minutes the total wash time will be around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

My Bosch maxx6 takes very long on wash cycle

Possibly heater fault....if you set unit to, for example, a 40 degree wash, the machine will just keep washing unit it reaches selected temp, then drain and do the rinses. If the heater is open circuit then it will wash and wash and wash until the module times out because it is not getting there and continue to rinses, making the programs excessively long. (You may also find, if it has a display that it sit at 0.01 for a long time at the end of the cycle. Not sure of your model as you have not posted it, but if you go through the test below you can test the heater.
1. Put main dial to off
2. Press and hold start button whilst turning dial one click to left (easycare 30).
3. When display show 8.88 or two of the progress light come on, release the start button
4. Turn dial anticlockwise to 90 cotton (take the long way, NOT thru OFF or you'll have to start over)
5. Press start
The tub will fill a little and if the heater is ok, after a few minutes you will hear it 'kettling', the drum does not turn during this test.
If you have a meter that checks amp draw, if the heater is ok it should read around 9 amps.
Hope this helps

Hobart LXIH stuck in Wash mode after running multiple loads. Shutting off breaker for several hours fixes problem until multiple loads have been run again and then it is once more stuck in Wash mode.

How long does it stay in the wash cycle? Indefinitely? Does the display continuously show "WASH"?. If it stays in the wash cycle indefinitely (i.e. continuously shows "WASH" for significantly beyond approx. 3 minutes), it's probably a control board malfunction. If it continues to wash after the "WASH" indicator goes out, it could be a shorted wash motor relay on the relay board or a fauly control board.

If the internal rinse water booster heater doesn't reach it's programmed setpoint temperature in time, the dishwasher will run an extended wash cycle to give the booster heater more time to finish heating the rinse water. If this is what's happening, the wash cycle would last approximately 3 minutes, then it would rinse regardless of whether the booster heater has finished heating or not.

The booster temperature thermistor may be bad, giving a false booster temperature reading, causing an extended wash cycle as described above. The booster heater elements or contactor may be bad, preventing the booster heater from heating and reaching proper temperature, also causing the same extended wash cycle to give the booster more time to heat.

Timer Jumps

Hi. The time displayed at the start of the program is an estimated time to complete the cycle. The appliance will calculate the wash time base on load size, water pressure, water temp ect. If a smaller load is to be washed then less water will be required thus shortening the time required to fill and heat water as a result this will reduce the wash time. EG. The more water you put in your kettle the longer it takes to boil.

The dishwasher has been running for 3 hours and seems to be stuck on 1 minute left. Upon opening, there was sudsy water remaining in the bottom, but the dishes looked clean. The washer just won't go to...

SHU 53 MODELS To start test program, press and hold both SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO program buttons, then turn unit on by pressing ON/OFF button. Initially, control module version # will be displayed (e.g./ ?21? = version 1 with jumper). When wash program buttons are released, lights above them will flash. To end test program, press ON/OFF button. To check each program indicator light, press its button. To check Cycle Countdown display, Refill Rinse Agent light and REGULAR WASH light, press REGULAR WASH button (press Delay Start button to test Cycle Countdown display alone). Cycle Countdown display will show ?88″ when REGULAR WASH button is pressed and ?8h? when Delay Start button is pressed. To start testing, press both the SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO buttons a second time. When testing has ended, Cycle Countdown display will show a fault using codes below. If more than one fault occurs, code numbers will be added together, (e.g./ ?6? = faults 2 + 4). 0 = No faults detected 2 = Heating fault 8 = NTC (temperature sensor) fault 1 = Aqua Sensor (?Sensotronic?) fault 4 = Filling fault F = Filling fault (display occurs during wash, not test) To check for heater, high limit or flow switch problems, start testing until heating starts. Using a meter with a current coil, measure current going into dishwasher. If current is ~ 11 A, then heater, high limit and flow switch are OK. If current stays at ~ 1.5-2 A, then heater, high limit or flow switch are faulty. If water level switch (f1) has failed (opened), display will show fault code ?4″ and unit will continually fill and drain where testing won?t be completed. If flow switch (e5) has failed (opened), display will show ?0″, water won?t heat (to 150?F) and water won?t stop circulating. If NTC probe (f2/f4) has failed (opened), display will show fault code ?8″ immediately and testing will end shortly after water has started circulating.

My Whirlpool Caylpso display is stuck and will not start

You can try unplugging it for at least two hours and then re-starting. Since I moved my washer starting acting up getting stuck at various points in a cycle--sometimes 19 minutes, or 12, or 33, or 3...no rhyme or reason, no specific point in the cycle. My mover is an appliance repair guy and told me to do the unplug thing and it has worked multiple times--not that I enjoy having this happen over and over, but he told me Sears would charge a minimum of 100 to show up at the door, and I don't have that right now. Anyhow, it has only worked if I left it alone at least 2 hours---my new strategy is going to be unplugging it daily...I love the washer but this is nutty.
