I didnt have any problem with the tablet till about 3 days ago, all of a sudden when the screen times out (2min time out), usually I dont have a problem wifi stays on, and I still get all my emails msgs etc. For the last 3 days, all of a sudden, as soon as my screen times out (goes dark for power saving) my wifi disables, I dont know why I havent installed anything no updates no nothing, just all of a sudden, it started to do this. Is there anyway to stop my wifi from being disabled everytime my screen times out? I want my screen to time out but not my wifi everytime it is getting to be a pain cause I use mine alot for emails and fb messages and the like, so this is getting really annoying.
Don't know if it works the same for your tablet as it does my droid phone, but i had to go into my settings/battery and data management/data delivery/social applications/data delivery frequency and select automatic(push). I'm sure its in a different location and probably named something else on your but i would start by going through your setting and seeing if there is something in there you can change.
Testimonial: "Sadly, no it isnt the same, I have tried to look at all the push settings(there isnt any actually), since this is a straight tablet, not a 3G or 4G LTE tablet meaning not via any phone companies, this can be a reason why, it is just a straight Wifi tablet. And I noticed that the same tablet, that is phone company based has different abilities and stuff on the setting and such that just a straight wifi tablet doesnt. This can be a reason why I dont have anything of that sort. I have been looking for a setting like 'turn off wifi with screen time out' of that sort of wording. But no to avail."

Does the WiFi router have SSID? Did it ever connect to other WiFi Access Point before? If not some say to set the Tab on Static IP and configure the router to allow the Tab's MAC address. Hope it helps.
