The tv dam light engine block it is the causes an the problems.This a major design flaw in the tv light engine block by the tv Corporations Samsung,Mitsubishi have this problems more than the other big screen tvs brands.A brand new tv?Take ur warrenty repair quickly,this things wouldn't stops.The white and black dots will continue and keep comming more and more.Until the tv have replace the light engine block or have it replaced another cuircuit board that help the light engine block too work.

that's sounds like a Mitsubishi projection tv get a new bulb that's what ya need they are mercury so be careful, and another thing make sure all screws are put back in tight safety features will stop tv from staying on or sometimes powering if just one screw is not put back in in the bulb area and on the front just saved you 100.00 bucks

Mitsubishi WD 65837 Blinking green light, no picture. Error code 22

These blinks (flashes) are fault indication. By the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. Count the blinks occur at one time switch ON, carefully. Do it once again, and make sure about the number of blinks. If the flashes are continious, non-stop, the main system control IC should be suspected. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here. It has blinking codes detail to many brand TVs. RESET Mitsubishi WD-65837

The set aside from a reset button recessed on front (some do and some do not) has at least 2 hidden menus= adjustment and OPTION MENU---option menu will do a hard reset of the entire set---but it requires a 4 digit number code by model---being 1500 miles away from my paper files I have a suggestion.

You can search to see if can find (I strongly doubt Mitsubishi will tell you) the entry code for your model.

Some of these sets also had a soft reset (no harm trying) and it is with the set turned on and using the Mitsubishi remote (also needed for hard reset) Menu, 1,2,3 enter.

That ought to be at least tried and the OPTION menu is usually last resort here---
