You should start for the Vs & Va voltages itself. The details to these voltages will be marked on the panel label itself. These two voltages should be more specific than other voltages, especially to Plasma displays. More variations; say; + or - 1%, can effect the display drastically. To get more details about this, you have to download the repair manual to this set, and refer its schematic diagram. Pay attention you need to look at your board to find if it needs two or three power resistors and get the appropriate repair kit.

Of course you can also send the board for repair, but at $15 and basic soldering skills required this must be a no-brainer if not for you directly then surely for some of your buddies.

Same thing happened to mine and some guys came to look at it, turns out the main board had to be replaced, they say it went because the dust was blocking the cooling fans. I think mine is more modern as when ot went off the power light flashed 8 times, which was a code for what was wrong. See if yours flashes anywhere and look it up.

You probably need a new power board or a service of the one you have.

The power supply is going in to protect mode. Most often this is a power supply failure, or a failure on one of the circuit boards that is causing the power supply to go in to protect.

If the power supply fault is not too complicated an experienced tech may be able to service it without changing the compete circuit board.

The tech will service this by substituting boards to determine where the failure is occuring. Then he will change the board to fix the fault.
