SOURCE: Hi I cant configure my router D-link DIR-300
This definitely worked for me. To find out your computer's MAC address, just go to start, then click run, then type 'CMD'. When prompted, type 'ipconfig/all'. Find your ethernet adapter local area network connection, and underneath you will find a lablel titled Physical Address. This is your MAC address and should consist of 6 pairs of number/letter combinations. Then connect your computer to the modem, eithe wirelessly or directly and point your browser to 192.168.0.1. Under Setup click Internet Setup and then click Manual Internet Connection Setup. Under Internet Connection Type, select Dynamic IP (DHCP), then under MAC address, type in the MAC address of your computer. Click Save Settings and Presto! It worked for me.

T%here is a small recessed hole on the back panel of your router. You can use something like a straightened out paper clip to push into this hole, holding it down for approximately 5-10 seconds. Your router will then be reset to 'Factory Settings.
