Commercial propane fryer wont light - Vulcan GR45 Deep Fryer

The burner flames must be BLUE. Yellow flames will produce soot. Sounds like the burner orifice size needs to be checked.

Hi there. Flames rolling back instead of shooting inside the fire tubes can be a result of clogged fire tubes or air entering the flue, also check if there are objects blocking the flue. Regards.

I don't service home models, only commercial products, however I would guess that something got wet somehow? Let it dry out for a few days and even a week or so, and then try it. If not, I would junk it and buy another...

You can visit http://www.imperialrange.com , you can verify there the correct parts list for the model of your fryer for the conversion from natural to propane and you will be able to search there the nearest authorized parts and service provider in your area.
You will be needing burner orifice for propane, pilot orifice for propane (if available, if not, the whole pilot assembly), Gas valve spring for propane (if available, if not, the whole gas valve for propane).

Probably the thermopile or thermocouple that senses the flame and holds the valve in the ready state.

You need to change the regulator,gas valve and burner orfices and possibly the pilot.If you have a commercial fryer go to 3wire.com and you will find the part's you need.Any questions?

this is a safty feature turn and hold pilot light untill lite then the gas should flow..but only after pilot is lit for 30 seconds
