The board is showing PEO OOO. how do we reprogram the HV board?

PRESS & HOLD FREEZER TEMP DOWN KEYPAD.-3. RELEASE DOOR ALARM KEYPAD AND WAIT 3 SECS.-4.CONTROL WILL DISPLAY PE TO INDICATE PROGRAMMING MODE-5. ENTRY IS CONFIRMED BY PRESSING TEMP DOWN - KEYPAD ONCE MORE.-CONTROL WILL DISPLAY CURRENT PROGRAM CODE. Thank you! I didn't get any instructions with my new HV board. Your instructions were spot on! The trick is to read them carefully. Once I followed the step by step instructions to get the 'PE' displayed I was home free. Thank you, I'm so pleased with my ability to follow instructions :)

I had a rough time reprogramming my Maytag, the instructions are crappy. First of all open the fresh food door on the fridge(not the one with the control panel) and leave it open. Second hold the door alarm and the freezer temp con - key on the fridge keypad both at the same time. Wait 3 seconds and release the door alarm key. the display will read PE0 000 instead of PE 000. The plus key on the freezer temp controls the deicimal place and the "REFRIGERATOR TEMP CONT KEYs + & - "controls the numbers. once you enter the code from the serial plate inside your fridge hit press the - key on the freezer temp control until the display starts flashing. Then close the door. click on link below if I confused anyone.

First open fridge and pull the fresh food door in the fridge out to hold the ice dispenser door side open and leave it open.
Second hold the door alarm and the freezer temp con - key on the fridge keypad both at the same time. Wait 3 seconds and release the door alarm key. The display will read PE0 000 for programming. Once you enter the code from the serial plate inside your fridge press the - key on the freezer temp control until the display starts flashing. Then close the Refrigerator doors and your done.
i get that far but pressing the - freezer key after entering correct code all i get is a beep noise. display will not flash

You will need to program the control board. Here are the instructions from the manufacture. Hope this helps. Service Specifications Programming Mode: NOTE: The Program Code is located on the Serial Plate on this unit after the word Code. 1. Press and hold the Door Alarm Keypad . 2. Press and hold Freezer Temperature Down Keypad . 3. Release the Door Alarm Keypad and wait 3 seconds. 4. The control will display PE to indicate the programming mode. 5. Entry is confirmed by pressing the Freezer Temperature Down Keypad once more. 6. The control will display the current Program CODE. This value should be validated with the Program CODE printed on the unit serial plate. NOTE: If the Program CODE is correct, the Programming Mode is exited by pressing Door Alarm Keypad for 3 seconds. 7. Press the Refrigerator Temperature Up Keypad or Refrigerator Down Keypad to change the digit value with each key press. 8. The decimal point indicates the selected digit. Press the Freezer Temperature Up Keypad to select the next digit. 9. Once the desired Program CODE is entered, press and hold the Freezer Temperature Down Keypad until the Program CODE begins flashing indicating it has been saved. NOTE: If you attempt to enter an invalid Program CODE the control will not save the new code, but will beep. (The unit will NOT run with a Program CODE of 0000).Once the Program CODE has been saved the Programming Mode is exited by pressing any key. If the new code is incorrect this process should be repeated. The Programming mode can be exited at any time by pressing Door Alarm key for 3 seconds or will exit if unattended for four minutes.

I AM ALSO HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE INSTALLED A NEW HV BOARD BUT THE REPROGRAMMING WILL NOT RESPOND. MINE WILL NOT WORK WITH THE REPROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS. THE DISPLAY BOARD IS NOT RESPONDING TO THE COMMANDS, IT IS LIKE I AM NOT HITTING THE BUTTONS. I CAN HEAR THE BUTTONS MAKE A NOISE WHEN I TOUCH THEM. DO I HAVE YET ANOTHER PROBLEM?
I am having the same problem. I have installed a new HV control board but the reprogramming will not respond. The refrigerator is dead. I have followed the programming instructions but cannot get the display to respond. Any advice? Thanks
\my fridge is doing the same thing. It initially stopped working out of the blue. The only thing that seemed to work on it was the interior light. Digital temp display was blank. Repair man said it was either the electronic display board or the Hv board or both. I bought display board and no change (display blinked a bit but alas went blank again.) So I then replaced the Hv board. Now display reads PEOOOO. I tried these instructions posted and got to about step 5 where you have to enter the code. Couldn't get the code entered, tried a couple times and now I can't even get to that point - started over from step 1 again and nothing. Tried unplugging and plugging back in - nothing. Tried unhooking Hv board and plugging back in - nothing. Please help! I don't know what else to do short of calling a repair guy, and I've alreayd dumped $300 into this. Anyone??

PEO OOO on front of door, no more flashing/flapping noise.
Cannot move on, only the refrigerator buttons + and - signs when pressed reads H20 or ice for a seconds then reads OOO again please some one help. Door open to program, Do I need to start all over again but all freezes on door panel cannot do anything,
