I recommend getting a USB card reader for your memory card.

You should make sure that the camera is on for the transfer. If that doesn't work, try another USB input.

Locked card

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Transfering pics from phone to computer

Normally you must download and install some type of software onto your computer first. That software should then recognize the phone when you connect it to your computer and allow you ot download your pictures. Either check your manufacturers website or call the support center for your cell carrier and ask them where to get your software.

Sony cyber shot 7.2 Carl Zeiss transfer pics on memory card

No.
Take the memory stick out of the camera then connect to the computer. You can then transfer the pictures from the camera to the computer.
Alternatively, use the camera's copy command to copy the pictures from the internal memory to the memory stick.

Connecting the Canon Powershot A540 to a computer

First you should have a program installed in your computer to transfer your pictures, best is canon's.
Once the USB cable is connected you should turn your camera on, automatictly the program detects your camera and asks you to press the transfering button. Good Luck.

Transferring pics

Have you taken new pictures with the device, or are these already possibly transferred to your system/PC? If they are already on your PC, it will not add them again (to save you space).
If you chose transfer all, what do you get as a result? Check the log for help.
