I have a Panasonic viera tc-p65vt60 plasma smart tv the guy that delivered the tv set it up for me. it has one wire coming from a vcr recorder and one wire coming from my cable box that plug into the back of the tv. I unplugged the two hdmi wires plugged into the back of the tv to move the tv and I can't remember whice ports on the back of the tv I need to plug the two hdmi wires back into to get the full effect of hd tv.

Have you considered HDMI version capatibility problems across the different equipment?
To know more about HDMI versions, wikipedia could be helpful.
SOURCE: Need help hooking up TV, BluRay, Home Theatre & cable box
I found that since the Panasonic TH50PZ80U TV has only 2 HDMI ports on the back of the TV, the best solution for me was to use component (red, blue, green) cables to connect the Home Theatre to the TV. I suppose I/you could connect the home theatre to the HDMI port on the front panel, but I don't want cables hanging out the front of the TV (personal preference). Unfortunately, I am no longer able to use the VIERA Link functionality available by connecting all Panasonic components to each other using HDMI cables, but I feel it's a small price to pay for the incredible picture quality acheived by using the HDMI cable to connect the HD Cable Box to the TV. I may yet be able to control everything using the HD Cable Box remote, but I haven't gotten that far yet but I've got Comcast coming on Saturday and hopefully they can let me know if this is possible: let me know if you have a solution.
So here are the components and the cable types used to connect:
I hope this helps someone else.

The Panasonic doesn't detect the presence of the signal on the antenna input so it just skips it. shut down the player and turn the cable box on before attempting to switch sources.
But why aren't you using the Composite RCA connection on the cable box ? Not only you would get a much better image but the tv would detect that change in the AV source and should switch by itself. If it doesn't then the control processor is faulty and the entire mainboard will will have to be replaced
SOURCE: I have a panasonic TC-P50ST30 and viera link will
Unfortunately, your charter HD DVR cable box is not a Viera link device that is compatible with the TC-P50ST30. Viera Link only works to control Panasonic HDAVI devices that are Viera Link ready (and that use the same Viera link coding) when using the HDMI cable. Thus some Viera link devices of different generations will not work with the same Viera link remote.
The manual for the TC-P50ST30 is available here: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/TCP42ST30.PDF . See page 32 for details on the Viera link controls.
I wish that I had better news for you. However, you will need to use separate remotes for your cable box and the TV.

on your computer, go into your vga graphics driver and hit properties, set it for dual and hit apply. close the box. then go to the graphics, options, look for dual. make sure the wire is tightly in your tv and computer. switch your tv to vga. it should be lit. then you should see your desktop on your tv screen.
