The User's Guide for the Document Centre 350 is available from the product support page. There are two files (one for the scanner and one for the printer). I would truly call in for service. Copiers require a trained tech to replace the fuser. Trust me I work in the IT industry. Have a trained tech fix it.

You have to scan it usually a twain program. Do a search on twain program. You have to be connected to the scanner with the usb cable.

I reed manual again.

Try performing a test by printing a test page from Tray 1 and open the top cover as soon as the paper is 60% inside. The paper would jam below the toner cartridge before it reaches the fuser. Remove the toner cartridge carefully and verify if the smudges occur. This would eliminate the fuser. If the print quality is fine, then you need to swap the fuser.

Sometimes I actually think I can type !!!!!!!! heheheh.

There is an actuator that is knocked off its mounting.
It is towards the front of the machine, right by the output rollers.
It would be about 3 inches long and have a couple of flag shaped lobes on it. All it needs is cliped back into place. There are 2 metal tabs with holes in it to insert the ends.
That is your problem.
