The printer works great for printing and copying wirelessly but I cannot scan either from the pc or using the button on the printer to scan to the pc.
I cannot open the scan settings button in settings in the HP Solution Centre, the picture of the scanner appears briefly then it crashes and I get the following error - HPCUE-Scannit Flow Component has encountered a problem and needs to close.
I get this error message when I try to scan either from the pc or from the printer also.
I reinstalled the printer software and reconnected the wireless connection and it now works well. I read somewhere that registry cleaner software may remove HP files that are required so this time after the registry cleaner scan, I unchecked any HP entry or printer entry and the scanner is still working, however, only from the pc to the printer, I still cannot scan using the buttons on the printer.
Solved! I now can scan wirelessly throughout my network. I downloaded the drivers for a friends newer HP all-in-one scanner and I can scan. Look for the driver for the 309a series of printers and install it. Complete the install and set up your existing printer. You can now scan, print, fax wirelessly. It includes updated HP apps for these functions that work with OS 10.5. I didn't upgrade to the HP 1.1 drivers through Apple. The file name is: PS_AIO_05_C309a_Net_Full_Mac_WW_102.dmg
