Try to Restart iPod touch by until Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears.Next, turn iPod touch on. If iPod touch not responding reset iPod touch, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button with same time least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

If you are looking to restore the iPod Touch to factory defaults, you need to start iTunes on your computer and plug your iPod Touch into your computer with the USB cable that came with it. Click on the iPod Touch from the list on the left side and press the "Restore" button.
Press and hold the "Sleep/Wake" button. This is the main power button on the top left-hand corner of the device.

Complete an Advanced Restore

following the steps in the previous section did not work, follow these
steps to perform an advanced restore. Turn off the power on the iPod

Plug the iPod Touch into your computer.
Power on the iPod Touch.
Press the "Home" and "Sleep/Wake" buttons together for 5 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
Release
the "Sleep/Wake" button but continue holding down the "Home" button.
The iPod Touch should reboot, and iTunes will notice the iPod Touch in
recovery mode.
Return to the above section and follow those steps to restore your iPod Touch.
Solution 1) Press Hold/Sleep & hold buttons at same time for 20 seconds, This may fix you problem.

It will ask you for restore. Accept Restore you ipod touch request by itune. Wait for few minutes while ipod being restored.
make sure u hold down home and sleep buttom for more than 11 seconds. After the allple logo shows up, press the home button...i had similiar problems as some of u, and this unfroze/ fixed my issue. Hopefully, it will work for u
