Frigidaire Professional Series dishwasher started to have hot water suddenly fill up dishwasher and the pour out onto my kitchen floor. The dishwasher was not on. I had to press cancel button to get water to stop from flowing from inside. Ran dishwasher and seemed ok, but after a few minutes it filled up again and wouldn't drain unless I pressed cancel, I turned off hot water under sink. What could the problem be?

I think your hot water inlet valve has failed open. It is electrically operated, and can stick in that position.

If not that, it is possible that the water level sensor signal has failed, but that should only be apparent when the washer is on.

It requires a service call.

SOURCE: dishwasher fills with water when running faucet

The drain hose from the dishwasher should exit the dishwasher, then head up to the nderside of the counter top, before heading back down to connect to the disposal drain connection.

If the drain hose doesn't do this, the dishwasher is improperly installed, and clean dishes risk being contaminated, which can cause people to become ill.

Electrolux professional series not pumping water

Two things to consider....clean water or dirty water?

Clean water usually indicates the fill valve is not shutting off all the way and the fill valve is "weeping" water in all the time = new fill valve time!!

Dirty water usually is not a dishwasher problem but more of a plumbing issue. Often the sink drain that carries the sinks water outside is not fast enough and some of this sink water is backing up into the drain hose and filling up the dishwasher through the drain hose. The drain from the sink to outside needs attention as this type of a problem indicates a slow house drain for that sink.

The dishwasher drain line should be clamped to the top underneath part of the counter before entering the sink drain plumbing, this may help the water from coming back inside the dishwasher.

Hello Mileshjr,

I don't disagree... Nice looking unit...

What you have to do is assess the LEAK(s)...

HO message flashing

My service guy told me this was due to the water coming into the dishwasher not being hot enough. He suggested I run the hot water in my kitchen sink prior to running the dishwasher. That seemed to resolve my issue.

Does not wash well, does not use dishwashing liquid

Here are a few steps to solve your problem. First of all empty your dishwasher and pour in two cups of vinegar. Run the longest and hottest cycle you have. This will clean your machine.

Always run the hot side of your kitchen sink until the water is as hot as it gets and then start your dishwasher.

Switch over to a tablet as opposed to powder or liquid and just toss the tablet into the machine,

now you should be back up and running.
