you can't because of the up/down buttons on the mic. the 2950 is a 6 pin and the d-104 is a 4 pin. If you can figure a way to eliminate the u/d switch then go for it. there is a wiring diagram on www.cbtricks.com
Open your radio and look for a board with a plug going nowhere not even plugged in. Plug it in to the back of the frequency display. Some shops will not ship your e-chip because of how easy it is to convert they want to get paid for it.
You either have a bad LCD display OR the connection for the LCD display is loose/off. Its impossible to tell what channel you are on with a 2950 without the screen working, but when you turn the channel knob do you hear any other cb transmitting on ANY channel?? This is a tough one!! I really need some more info on the radio.
Open the case and look at the area that the display is in (front of radio). Slightly wiggle all of the little plugs in that area. If you see the LCD screen come on or flash then you know where your problem lies. If not, then you're probably looking at buying a LCD display for the radio.
Here is what I have: If the Tug 8 is a 4 wire cable,1/shield 2/white 3/red 4/black 5/N/C 6/N/C
If the TUG 8 is 6 wire cable,1/shield & blue 2/white 3/red 4/black 5/N/C 6/N/C .The reason I gave two diagrams is I can never remember if the 8 or the 9 is 4 wire cable. Also if your radio keys up when you plug mic in reverse the black and red.Good Luck and take care!
Mannix, I have not checked skip conditions lately, but the last time I looked skip was not rolling at all so I'd be surprised to hear any australia,,,,,, Mechanic
