Broken gears on merits pioneer 9 mobility scooter. Where can I g
I am hearing very loud grinding noises from the back transaxle/motor on my mobility scooter. I have a friend who wants to be build it. Where can I get new gears for this scooter? I can't afford to buy a new motor or scooter and need this one to get around town. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
In your manual it will tell you what grade of slope the the Scooter will safely go up. If the slope is too great the motor will have too much of a load, and the controller will a over current situation and shut down. squealing noise may have to do with transaxle its self than the Motor Brake. The gears in the transaxle could make the squeal noise.
You can call Tech support at Merits 800-963-7487. owners manual may have where the fuses would be. Lights could be burnt out. more likely the wires were disconnected.
