What could be wrong with it?
for two days or so there was this smell coming from the dryer and eventually on the clothes it was kinda diesel fuel or something i didnt think anything of it at first because my husband spills stuff on him at work all the time anyways right after that the dryer wont heat up could tht be the heeting element? would that be the cause of the smell?for two days or so there was this smell coming from the dryer and eventually on the clothes it was kinda diesel fuel or something i didnt think anything of it at first because my husband spills stuff on him at work all the time anyways right after that the dryer wont heat up could tht be the heeting element? would that be the cause of the smell?

Check to see if the breaker is tripped if it's an electric dryer. It could also be a blown fuse within the dryer or a bad heating element. It could also be lack of air flow from the dryer to the outside, check for lint build up. Good Luck!!

I dont know what year model you have but the newer one will run when car is turned off to cool radiator. Maybe you have a radiator problem if this just started to happen. Is the car over heating. Did you check radiator fluid or thermostat. I dont know much about your car and year model but i would do these checks. Maybe radiator needs to be flushed. You can use aluminum brite for to flush. Can buy it at O Reiley's. I had to flush my daughters radiator about 10 times when we bought it used, fithy. Looks brand new. Please dispose of chemicals properly. It is an acid.
The usual reason a dryer will heat yet not dry the clothes is going to be a air flow problem. What ya need to check is for a blocked vent and or lint build up in the blower assambly.
By far though a leading cause of that on Maytag dryers is a broken blower wheel and therefore no warm air is being drawnthrough the clothes,to check that remove the front panel and the front drum support and in the lower left corner will be the blower asm. check to see if it moves free and doesnt seem to be attached to the motor shaft.
yes check ur dryer vent on the back unhook it and dry a load and see if this cures the problem if it cures it then u have either a kinked hose or it is clogged up really bad and when it cant breATHE then it wont run the heat because it dont pull enough air out and the safeties turn the strip heats off cause the air going out cools them down enough to runhot temo but when the vent cloggs up it dont cool down the strip heats and it overheats and turns the heaters off
The reason that the dishwasher is not drying completely is that newer model dishwashers do not have as powerful a heating element to dry the dishes. This is for several reasons mainly due to the manufacturer attempting to reduce power consumption by the machine. The condensation is caused by the same thing. Not much you can do to fix the problem other than towel them off by hand if you dont want to put them away wet.
auto dry relies on a moisture sensor to say when its done. so your clothes arent dry enough according to sensor. perm. press. doesnt dry the clothes as much
Sounds like a clogged exhaust duct or vent. If not venting properly, most dryers will turn the heat off, for safety reasons.
Go for the easy fix first. Before removing your exhaust ducts from the dryer, look for any kinks that may cause blockage. Clean out the duct of any lint or water that may have accumulated. Check the vent on the outside of the house and make sure that its not clogged and opening properly.
Sounds like the control board has gone out on you. Also, you can check for any thermal fuses that my have gone out as well. You will need to refer to you wiring diagram for your specific dryer brand and model.
This is most likely an element problem. it is best that a tech replace it but if you feel comfortable take it out and to your local repair shop. match it up and reinstall it.
It sounds like the gas supply is not giving you any gas, as both have the exact same symptoms. You can see the glow coil getting red hot, then the safety shuts off after a it gets no gas. If you feel confident, shut off the valve in back coming from the wall, unscrew the line where it connects to the dryer. Turn the valve back on slowly, there should be gas pressure blow out of the line.
